Manager Banker Sales Support
Overview This position responsible for managing a team of support associates for business, commercial, or middle market bankers within a region or area. Oversees a team responsible for client service, loan documentation quality, operational issues, and other sales support functions. Manages risk by monitoring credit portfolios and support processes for operational and regulatory compliance. Provides guidance on loan servicing, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation strategies for associate team. Identifies workflow inefficiencies and develops solutions to uphold performance and service standards within lending support functions. Responsibilities Business Support - Manages a team that provides loan support, customer service, and sales support for bankers. Ensures that business and retail clients receive a high level of service and that quality standards are upheld. Identifies inefficiencies in support processes, and implements enhancements for staff performance. Risk Management - Manages an assigned area's credit risk by monitoring loan portfolio performance. Ensures compliance in loan processing and operations with all applicable regulations, policies, and standards. Monitors portfolio reporting system and leads efforts to mitigate identified risks. Decisions complex client operational issues. Develops systematic action plans for ongoing improvement of risk management capabilities. Loan Coaching - Trains commercial, business, and middle market banking associates on loan closing procedures and required documentation, loan servicing, government and bank regulations, and exception clearing practices. Partners with regional leadership on training initiatives and projects. Managerial Functions - Establishes and monitors expectations to achieve company and regional goals. Makes appropriate changes to banking policies, procedures, and efficiencies in order to meet objectives. Manages the performance, training, and evaluation of assigned staff. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Bank Lending or Underwriting, Operations or Sales OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Bank Lending or Underwriting, Operations or Sales Preferred Area of Experience: Supervisory Skill(s): Proven skills in creation, design, and interpretation of sales reports First Citizens benefits programs are designed to meet our associates where they are in life.
