Practice Area
The Operations Practice (OPS) Area is one of BCG's largest functional practices. We help our clients create competitive advantage by enhancing their performance and building strategic capabilities. BCG’s expertise in Operations covers the following areas - supply chain management, procurement, manufacturing, service operations, cost efficiency, operational transformation, research & product development, program and project management, all with a strong digital and analytics overlay.
What You'll Do
As a Manager - BCG Vantage within BCG's Operations Practice Area, you will collaborate and partner in a growing global team, providing functional expertise and insights. You will work together with case and proposal teams to provide knowledge assets, analysis and expert advisory. You'll serve as a thought partner and content expert to case teams and topic/sector leaders, helping structure and solve complex issues. Additionally, as an Manager you will drive development of intellectual property and knowledge assets to support the Maintenance business, serving as an active contributor to commercialization efforts for the topic, whilst working with business leaders to drive proposals & go-to-market efforts. As a Manager, you may line manage a team of junior colleagues, taking responsibility for their goal setting, ongoing feedback and career development support. The Operations Practice Area is one of BCG's functional practices and helps our clients create competitive advantage by enhancing their performance and building strategic capabilities. The Maintenance business comprises an expert network of knowledge team members and experienced consultants who help our clients on specific cases related to the functions and disciplines within the topic (e.g., maintenance strategy, planning & supply chain, maintenance execution, Digitalization/ AI, workforce mgt ). The candidate is expected to have relevant expertise in at least two or more of the following topics: Insource/outsource, Interval strategy, usage-based maintenance, design to maintain, repair & route optimization, lean manufacturing, turnaround, predictive maintenance/AI, frontline workforce productivity, MRO, etc.
What You'll Bring
3+ years consulting experience in relevant Maintenance topics required; candidates with consulting experience preferredIn lieu of consulting experience, 4+ years minimum industry experience required; 6-10+ years of industry experience strongly preferredBachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred)Expertise in Maintenance and relevant industries (Energy, Vehicle Fleet, Rail – Infrastructure)Fluency in EnglishOutstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholder while working in a global collaborative team environment
