Manager Branch Operations

As a Manager - Branch Operations, you will direct all customer service, administrative, and logistics activities to achieve excellent customer service and branch profitability through the full implementation of our service system, performance management, training, and administrative review. You will manage a complex organization involving multiple facilities in the same market to support sales in excess of $90,000,000.

In this role you will:

Provide direction to all front-line customer service, administrative, warehousing, and transportation functions through applicable managers/supervisors to maintain established service standardsReview department activities to verify timelines and accuracyEstablish performance expectations for all managers/supervisors and for any direct reports and manage performance through coaching, counseling, goal setting, feedback, and performance appraisal processServe as member of Branch Steering Committee to facilitate resolution of service/rework issues and to ensure the Company is meeting strategic marketing objectivesCommunicate with Sales Managers to identify customer service requirements; host branch tours when appropriateInvolved in resolving local service failures and responsible for taking necessary action to prevent recurrences, through the established nonconformance procedureAssist in expense optimization and control; provide administrative approvals as required by the CompanyOversee branch inventory and cycle countsEnsure proper staffing to provide excellent service; participate in new hire orientation; set branch schedules and procedures; monitor safety and associated programs; ensure compliance with Company safety and health procedures and coordinate/implement succession planning for branchMaintain adequate branch security

What you bring to the table:

Minimum 5 years experience required: Most senior level management position at branch level for individual with numerous years of operations experience; prior branch supervisory experience with a strong background in customer service4 year degree preferredKnowledge of wholesale distribution industry and supply chain management principlesKnowledge of continuous improvement processesKnowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office SuiteOral and written communication skillsSupervisory and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and influence othersProblem solving and conflict resolution skillsOrganizational and time management skillsAbility to effectively train and instruct in both group setting and one-on-oneAbility to develop and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers to achieve short and long term goals of branchAbility to effectively present Company services and quality standards to customersAbility to handle customer complaints and mediate customer disputes

Pay Details:

The expected salary for this position is $130,000 - $140,000 annually depending on experience. This position is also bonus eligible based on specific and relevant business metrics.
