Manager Business Development

Purpose & Relevance
The Business Development Manager for Türkiye will play a pivotal role in driving adidas’ growth in Türkiye by being key stakeholder in strategy development. This position is responsible for Strategy Planning & Execution, Consumer – Market Intelligence, Project Management and Head Office to boost the growth journey of adidas Türkiye. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Turkish market, a proven track record in business development, and a passion for sports and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning - Execution: Localize and implement strategies coming from global to expand adidas’ presence in Türkiye, ensuring alignment with global and regional business objectives Work with local functional leaders alongside TR BD Lead to create action plans to support the delivery of our business plan, and track progress against agreed targets Prioritize innovation as part of the daily business routine, follow closely the industry’s pioneering activities that can be embedded in adidas Türkiye Be part of the “End-to-end internal consultant” playing role by being a challenger & team player Co-ordinate delivery of our ‘Moonshot’ strategic business plan for Türkiye in close collaboration with various channels, ensuring a consolidated category, channel and country level assessment, framework, and targets Consumer – Market Intelligence: Monitor competitors’ activities, market trends, and industry developments to inform strategic decision-making Track and report on key performance metrics, including market share estimations, NS performance, and partnership outcomes Prepare effective presentations to ensure smooth integration of insights and recommendations to senior leadership to maintain a competitive edge Project Management: Provide ongoing communication and track the progress of priority projects to the TR Leadership Team and identified stakeholders, alongside the TR BD Lead. Highlight successes, necessary interventions, and assess the ultimate impact and learning Head Office: Prepare reports, presentations, analyses and documents as guided by adidas TR GM & BD Lead Lead organization of relevant documentation to ensure TR BD Lead is prepared for all key stakeholder interactions Ensure smooth fact – checking practices for internal key confidential documents

Internal: TR BD Lead, TR Leadership Team, Functional Teams (Sales, Brand, ECOM, HR), EM HUB Team External: Market Intelligence providers (e.g., Euromonitor, EMEA Business Group), strategic partners

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in economics, Business Administration, or a related field Minimum 6 years commercial / project and change management related experience in a multi-channel sales organization or consultancy Proven experience in change management and organizational transformation, preferably in the retail or sports industry Solid project management skills and strong understanding of management methodologies and tools Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders Analytical mindset, with the ability to gather and interpret data to measure the impact of change initiatives Flexibility and adaptability to navigate through ambiguity and drive results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
