Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an opening for a Business Development Operations Manager 2 to join a team of qualified, diverse individuals within the Sector Strategic Growth organization. This role will report to the Strategic Growth Operations Director. The position will require the majority of time on-site in Baltimore, MD, or Mclean, VA.
We are seeking a highly qualified, strong leader to assist in the management, planning and execution of the Sector’s business development and capture activities to include training coordination, subscriptions, tool enhancements, reporting and other operational activities as assigned. The Operations Manager position requires a strong leader with the ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations and collaborative/team settings across all levels. Responsibilities of the position will include but are not limited to:
Facilitate the BAP (Business Acquisition Process) Gates and monthly new business reviews with Corporate and MS leadership, including the preparation of read ahead materials and scheduling of events.Management of the Capture Leadership Center (CLC) to include facilities and operational needs. CLC is the primary location for equipping and training BD and capture leaders in MS. Management of the Mission Systems Strategic Growth subscription resource(s) pool.Serving as the focal point for communication, planning and collaboration of Strategic Growth initiatives and activities for the sector and cross sector.Supporting the planning and execution of sector-sponsored Strategic Growth training courses, while managing the sector training calendar and interfacing with the Corporate Learning & Development organization to ensure collaborative efforts. Working with the division Strategic Growth teams to identify best practices and deliver sector tools through training and digital tools.Manage the reporting of business development goals and activities, action ad-hoc leadership requests and meet deadlines. Prepare and support development of executive-level presentations and meetings.Creation and management of websites and sharepoint sitesDriving execution of strategic initiatives and projects initiated by the Strategic Growth leadership by working with cross-functional teams and business leaders throughout the organization.Proficiency in SalesForce and development/utilization of Salesforce for reporting and management/support for SPW (Sector Priority Wins) and EPWs (Enterprise Priority Wins).Perform other Operations & Integration duties upon request of the Director of Strategic Growth Business Development OperationsBasic Qualifications for Level 2:
Bachelor’s Degree and 9+ years of work experience or Master’s Degree 7+ years of work experience or equivalent years of operational, program or project management leadership experienceExperience with the business acquisition process and/or capture managementSkilled in project management, analysis, communicationConfidence, integrity, and hands-on approach to analysis and problem-solvingEffective written and verbal communicatorExperience with data analysis and executive level reporting/presentation/presence.Strong Microsoft Office skills Familiarity with, or the capability to learn and use, Salesforce.Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Level ClearanceWillingness to travel up to 20%Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with digital collaboration tools such as Confluence and JiraExperience with Salesforce, LXActive Secret ClearanceSalary Range: $135,800.00 - $213,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
