What’s the role? The Manager Business Process Excellence – Record to Report plays a pivotal role in the strategic transformation of financial processes at ZEISS. This leadership position provides the opportunity to work on one of ZEISS’ key group programs, shaping our S/4HANA greenfield business transformation to drive harmonization and standardization of processes and structures. The incumbent will drive the adoption of global financial standards and operational efficiencies, shaping the financial framework that supports ZEISS’s strategic goals.

Here’s what you’ll do:

Oversee and optimize processes related to the general ledger accounts, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with accounting standards.

Optimize the process of accounting for fixed assets, including the recording of asset acquisitions and disposals, depreciation, and impairment.

Optimize the accounting for intercompany transactions, including reconciling intercompany accounts and ensuring compliance with transfer pricing policies.

Generate and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.

Optimize the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the consolidation of financial statements for multiple entities.

Drive the design of Profit & Loss statements, including line-items and dimensions for comprehensive analytics of management units, markets, products, and customers.

Manage product cost planning at the plant level and determine product costs from a global ZEISS group perspective.

Oversee internal accounting and performance management of different ZEISS business models.

Ensure smooth month-end closing of individual legal entities and their integration with next-generation consolidation processes.

Develop ZEISS standard chart of accounts and accounting manual, including asset, lease, and tax accounting.

Take on a leadership role, understanding and mastering individual processes in collaboration with ZEISS functions and process experts in a goal-oriented manner.

Steer and orchestrate external consulting support within the workstream.

Exchange information with fellow workstream leads to ensure best practice sharing and integration into related processes or systems (e.g., CRM).

Report workstream results to the overall program management.

Align workstream progress with the overall program plan, ensuring planning, implementation, and improvement measures.

Do you qualify?

Advanced degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field. 

Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial management, including substantial experience in managing SAP S/4HANA implementations in a financial context. 

Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale transformation projects with a focus on financial processes. 

Exceptional leadership and strategic thinking skills.

Advanced project management capabilities. 

Robust analytical and decision-making skills.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working with diverse teams and influencing  leadership. 

Proficient in change management, capable of driving change across the organization.

The annual pay range for this position is $140,000 - $160,000.

The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.

This position is also eligible for a performance bonus or sales commissions.  ZEISS also offers robust benefits, including medical plans, retirement savings plan and paid time off.
