POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager – Capital Markets Risk and Valuation Analysis will be a member of Best Execution and Valuation team with one or more direct reports. Primary responsibilities would be ownership and maintenance of our Risk Management System, Quantitative Risk Management (QRM), and reporting on the data generated. Additional responsibilities would include close coordination with other members of Capital Markets and the rest of the Company that rely on the downstream information provided by QRM for risk, hedge position, Profit & Loss Statement (P&L), and counterparty exposure.
A successful candidate will have a mindset focused on process, automation, new opportunities, and continuous improvement.
DESCRIPTION
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain QRM’s assumption model for valuation, P&L, and pooling.Work closely with trade desk for market pricing inputs and pull through structures.Maximize actual execution decisions through proper setup of QRM’s pooling optimizer.Create and maintain policies and procedures.Oversee and organize updates and patches with IT department.Test, document, and summarize impact from model assumption changes.Manage upkeep of the production server and various testing environments.Keep us compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and internal auditing requirements.Produce reporting as needed to manage responsibilities effectively.Other new and evolving requirements, as needed, by senior management.Performs related duties as assigned by management.Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent.6-8 years’ experience with significant knowledge of Capital Markets concepts. Examples include, but are not limited to: Pricing, Hedging, Trading, Valuation, Pooling and Delivery.Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
Strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills. Must be competent in standard Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Access, etc.Experience with data mining and reporting software (SQL, Oracle, Tableau, Qlikview, etc.).Working knowledge of Mortgage Risk Management Software (QRM, Compass, MIAC, etc.).Additional Information:
