Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking a MANAGER - CARDIOVASCULAR AMBULATORY SERVICES to join our CARDIOPULMONARY LAB  team!

The Manager of Cardiovascular Ambulatory Services understands and supports the philosophy and policies and procedures of Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Works collaboratively to produce, nurture, and sustain a professional practice and healthy work environment that affords and enhances patient care effectiveness and efficiency through leadership to multidisciplinary teams, effective physician relationships, and a shared vision and dedication to the future of Aspirus Wausau Hospital. This person has 24 hour/7 day week accountability for the overall supervision of all healthcare providers in the area under their direction. Is responsible for the recruitment and retention, performance review, professional development, budget formulation, and quality outcomes of staff in area(s) of accountability. Leads the planning process for the organization and delivery of care for designated areas.

HOURS: Full-Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every 2 weeks. 

Experience/Qualifications

Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in a health related field.Master’s Degree in healthcare, administration, or related field preferred.Five years’ experience in an acute care facility, knowledge and expertise in area of application, and competency in critical thinking and prioritizing skills in previous employment situation necessary for patient care and management functions.Previous experience in the supervision of personnel, evaluation of the quality and appropriateness of care, budget preparation, and resource utilization beneficial.Registered/Licensed Practitioners will maintain credentialing appropriate to specialty.Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED. (See Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training Policy).Membership in appropriate professional organizations beneficial.Possesses outstanding communication skills such as tact, diplomacy, and conflict management. Possesses high level of emotional intelligence.
