Position Objective:
Provides clinical supervision and oversight of patients in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation and other cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional services. This includes inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. Instrumental in helping to coordinate the overall program to ensure customer satisfaction, cost effectiveness, productivity and integration with the cardiovascular program within LH AAMC. Provides professional development and clinical support to staff, students, and volunteers. Incorporates the Team, Change, Business leadership model of the organization into all essential job duties.
Essential Job Duties:

Coordinates business operations including intake process, charge entry and posting and auditing of charges.Acts as liaison between patients, clinical and volunteer staff, and outside contacts.Coordinates patient appointments, facilitates financial issues and clinical issues.Performs as the charge person in the rehabilitation department, leading day to day operations with patients and staff, following American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary guidelines for safe patient outcomes.Identifies need for program development and process improvement, leading initiatives, as well as coaching staff to participate in and facilitate the process. Contributes to the development of the annual budget and manages equipment/supply inventory.Analyzes financial data and departmental metrics to drive day-to-day business operations and inform future initiatives.Collaborates with internal/external customers, serving as a resource to develop and drive strategic initiatives.Leads staff by managing departmental hiring process, oversees staff departmental orientation, competency assessments, performance reviews, performance management, employee separations.Provides technical supervision and coaching for performance and professional development to rehabilitation department staff, volunteers, and students.Educational/Experience Requirements:
Master’s degree in Business or Nursing preferred.Required Minimum Experience:
Three years of experience in Cardiovascular setting, with one (1) year in a leadership position required.Required License/Certifications:
Current RN license in the state of Maryland or ACSM certificationCurrent American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS CPR & ACLS certifications.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Experience with EPIC electronic documentation.Knowledge of Cath LAB, interventional radiology proceduresKnowledge of Medicare regulations with Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Knowledge of Medicare regulations for CR and PR required requirement.Working Conditions, Equipment, Physical Demands:
Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
