Aspirus Health in Wausau, WI. is seeking a Manager - Charge Master to join our team!
The Manager of Chargemaster provides management and oversight of the charge description master (CDM), regulatory and other payors requirements, department charge capture, contract management and payor reimbursement, and fee schedules. The position is responsible for the overall timely and accurate capture of patient service revenue. The position is responsible for oversight in the development, implementation, maintenance, improvements and audit functions of a standard system focused charge description master (CDM). The position is responsible for monitoring and communicating current and emerging reimbursement charges, regulations and reporting requirements as set by government or other payors, as well as ensuring any changes are properly implemented through project oversight and involvement. This position will oversee and monitor that a consistent, accurate charge CDM is compliant with regulatory agencies. This position will provide advice and support staff as needed, as well as work with department leaders and staff on charging and reimbursement questions and concerns. This position is responsible for the oversight and remediation of random audits to ensure the accuracy of patient charges, and to review and complete insurance audits with scheduled auditors to evaluate findings and determine required adjustments. This position will also be responsible for the management of the patient charge fees and schedules, including fee analysis, recommendations, and price transparency for Aspirus.
HOURS: Full Time 1.0 FTE, 80 Hours Biweekly
Experience/Qualifications
Knowledge of healthcare financial management or related field normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or other health related profession.Three to five years of experience with facility and professional services coding or billing, CDM, and/or regulatory or contractual reimbursement that provided for experience in regulatory compliance, coding/billing rules and regulations, CDM maintenance, auditing, internal controls and pricing. Experience preparing and working with financial analysis of high complexity.Supervisory or management experience necessary to develop administrative skills, including work experience in project management is preferred.Previous experience with auditing and internal controls is preferred.Working knowledge of current Medicare, Medicaid, and other regulatory or payor guidelines and requirements.Possesses a high level of resourcefulness, innovation, and interpersonal and critical thinking skills.Ability to collaborate including building, leading, motivating and coordinate activities of a cross-functional and/or multi-corporate team.Possesses project management and implementation skills necessary to develop and implement appropriate changes impacting revenue and reimbursement.Strong personnel management skills to direct work of and motivate assigned staff.Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate technical/regulatory concepts to a non-technical audience.Detailed knowledge of revenue cycle functions and revenue flow.Employee Benefits
