**A Brief Overview**
The Clinical Equipment Technology Manager is responsible for all aspects of the management of the clinical equipment technical service team. The Clinical Equipment Technology Manager works closely with both the internal staff and department representatives in planning, analyzing and evaluating information for assigned services and/or projects.
**Essential Functions**
+ Hires, places and trains technicians and other staff within the CE department, and administers coaching, delivers performance feedback and issues discipline to direct reports. Establishes work priorities and provides daily supervision and support to all assigned staff. • Personnel Management ◦ Selects/hires employees and trains and/or oversees the training on job related tasks. ◦ Conducts employee performance management duties including completion and delivery of performance evaluations, setting goals, dissemination of information, coaching, addressing performance issues/routine correction actions, and recommending termination of employment. ◦ Makes salary recommendations. ◦ Submits notifications for personnel actions (e.g., status changes, terminations). ◦ Makes recommendations for human resource needs. • Operational/Financial Management ◦ Responsible for the implementation and execution of business plans or activities for the department. May assist in the development of business plans. ◦ Makes decisions guided by the business plan and resource availability that impacts service levels and the team’s ability to meet objectives. ◦ Analyzes processes and procedures and makes recommendations and/or decisions on guidelines for daily processes/activities within department. May recommend policy changes related to the department. Implements new or revised policies, processes, and procedures within the work area. ◦ Develops the annual budget, monitors and prepares budget variance reports for the department. ◦ Applies business and management expertise to identify problems/opportunities, determine solutions, and measure results. ◦ Ensures compliance with quality assurance, safety practices, policies, regulatory, and legal requirements.
+ Communicates through the proper chain of command, critical information and decisions as appropriate, and responds to requests from Facilities Director, Support Services Vice President and Executive Staff. • Makes sound decisions, independently, to drive service delivery outcomes to the satisfaction of key stakeholders throughout the hospital. • Supervises the installation, troubleshooting, repair and calibration of clinical equipment. • Ensures compliance with all Joint Commission and OSHA regulations and other local, state, and federal government regulations. • Maintains departmental policy and procedure manuals ensuring 100% compliance
+ Manages hospital departmental budgets and financial reporting processes. • Complies with all Hospital reporting or approval processes • Provides counsel to client regarding purchases of new capital equipment.
+ Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the job.

**Education Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in biomedical equipment technology, electronics, or engineering Required
**Experience Qualifications**
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. Required and
