**Hours of Work :** 40 **Days Of Week :** Mon-Fri **Work Shift :** **Job Description :** Your Job: The Manager of Collections Physician Billing is responsible for overseeing the AR follow up team and their processes for a Multi-Specialty and Family Practice service line, for all payers, ensuring timely resolution and maximizing reimbursement. This position requires a strong understanding of payer guidelines, multi-specialty and family physician billing practices, the ability to effectively lead the team to drive performance improvements and meet departmental and organizational goals. The Manager will work closely with various internal and external departments, including billing, coding, vendors and compliance, to identify, address, and prevent denials. Additionally, the position will be a key resource for leading the AR follow up and appeals process, developing staff, and ensuring adherence to best practices in revenue cycle management. This position may require a hybrid or remote work setup, depending on departmental needs and organizational policies. Your Job Requirements: • High School diploma/GED • College degree or seven years equivalent healthcare patient accounts experience to include 2 years in a healthcare leadership role, may replace degree. Your Job Responsibilities: + **Denials Management Oversight:** Lead and manage all aspects of the AR follow up, denials management process, including tracking, investigating, and resolving payer denials in accordance with payer-specific guidelines. + **Follow up and Appeals Writing Strategy:** Develop and execute a comprehensive follow up and appeal writing strategy, to include automation. Ensure accurate and timely follow up on claims and submission of appeals. Strong skills in writing persuasive appeals and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements are essential. + **Revenue Integrity Collaboration:** Collaborate with leadership to ensure the accuracy of claims and appropriate documentation for all multi-specialty and family practice services. Work closely with Revenue Integrity team to enhance the charge capture processes and reduce revenue leakage. + **Team Management & Development:** Hire, train, mentor, and develop a high-performing team. Foster an environment of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Provide ongoing coaching and professional development opportunities for staff members. + **Compliance & Payer Relations:** Stay updated on industry standards, payer guidelines, and CMS regulations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific rules. Act as the primary point of contact for payor audits, working with internal stakeholders to address and resolve discrepancies. + **Data Analysis & Reporting:** Monitor and analyze denial trends, reporting key metrics and root causes to senior leadership. Use data to develop strategies for reducing denials and improving reimbursement processes. + **Process Improvement:** Lead process improvement initiatives to address recurring denial issues, ensuring that billing, coding, and clinical teams are aligned with payer requirements. Implement process changes that optimize revenue cycle workflows and enhance overall efficiency. + **Departmental Collaboration:** Collaborate with clinical teams, coding, and inter departmental teams to address denial issues related to documentation, coding, and claims submission. Serve as a key resource to assist with troubleshooting and resolution of complex denial issues. + **Epic System Utilization:** Leverage Epic and other system applications to track, manage, and resolve denials. Ensure that system workflows are optimized for accurate charge capture and timely claims submission. + Perform other duties as assigned to support department goals and initiatives. + Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines and institutional policies.
