Position Summary Primary Responsibility
Primary Responsibilities
Assist the Senior Manager - Commercial in managing costs on a wide variety of new building projects and structures within the hotel guest areas, food and beverage areas, casino and any other areas within the Galaxy Entertainment Group. Assist in undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work. Assisting in establishing client requirements and undertaking feasibility studies. Assist in preparing early stage budgets and detailed costs plans. Assist the Senior Manager - Commercial in performing risk and value management and cost control. Assist the Senior Manager - Commercial Advising on procurement strategy. Preparing tender and contract documents including bills of quantities. Identifying, analyzing and developing responses to commercial risks. Preparing and analyzing costing for tenders. Assist in establishing and operating cost and financial control systems. Providing advice to the Senior Manager - Commercial on contractual claims. Analyzing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports. Valuing completed work and arranging payments. Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use. Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations. Providing post-occupancy advice, facilities management services and life-cycle costing advice. RequirementsRequirements
Bachelor Degree or higher in Quantity Surveying/Cost Management Discipline. Post Graduate qualification in a related field is optional. At least 7 years' experience in the building/construction industry. Experience in hotel / casino project works highly regarded.
