About this role In this role you will
In this role, the individual will:
Create comprehensive commissioning plans for projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and project objectives.
Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and partners to drive seamless integration and execution of commissioning activities.
Lead the testing and validation of systems and equipment to confirm they meet specified performance and quality criteria including safety standards, within schedule and budget.
Optimize project progress and commissioning activities, delivering regular updates and detailed reports to the line Manager.
Identify (Safety reviews, Risk assessment & HAZID) and solve any issues or challenges during the commissioning phase planning & execution, initiating corrective actions as needed.
Establish compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and company policies and standards throughout the commissioning process.
Create and deliver training programs for operational staff to confirm they are fully prepared to lead and handle the commissioning of systems and equipment with a particular focus on Commissioning risks, processes, and outcome tracking. (note This is in addition to \"operational\" training provided as part of the Business Readiness team scope & thus the BR Manager task)
Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, business readiness, and operations teams to ensure a seamless transition of commissioned systems to end-users.
Manage commissioning budgets, optimize expenditures, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Responsible for identifying and addressing risks, implementing mitigation strategies, and professionally conducting ongoing risk assessments.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, electrical, or electronic. At least 8 to 10 years of experience in a complex mine operations and mine projects experience in supervising / managing contracts and contractors in a Commissioning capacityExperience in supervising / managing employees, with the ability to provide direction and mentorshipExcellent organizational, planning, analytical and time management skills the ability to drive project objectives in a technically challenging and geographically remote environmentWell-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, with the ability to liaise with all levels of the project team, Contractors, Vendors and end users (NTO)Demonstrates people leadership skills, as well as critical and strategic thinking experience with SAP software considered an asset Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy Strong multi-tasking and proven ability to manage competing priorities based on business demandsMaintains a high level of confidentiality and professionalism Must be able to work with minimal supervision once familiar with requirementsSelf-motivated and takes initiative; proactively looks for ways to add value.

The position will require travel to appropriate locations (Mostly Cajamarca/Site and Lima) to support the Water Treatment Project scope.
The position will require periodic living in the Yanacocha camp.
The person must be in good health and physical condition to work in the field in different climatic conditions and at altitudes of 4,000 meters above sea level.
The incumbent may be required to travel and assist other sites nationally and internationally.
