Manager Community Tech Programs

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Manage complex business requirements and analyze existing business processes and their alignment with current systems or proposed solutions. Model proposed complex software specifications and perform requirement/artifact traceability. Lead the integration and communication among applications, databases, and technology platforms on a business and technological level. Lead business process analyses and business needs/requirements elicitation in an effort to align information technology with business initiatives. Manage the performance complex analysis on existing systems; identify options for potential solutions and assess for both technical and business suitability. Understand organizational motivations including problems, goals, and objectives. Assess and document the benefits, risks, and critical success factors of the project. Demonstrate that business needs are satisfied within a given technical solution. Participate in developing functional and non-functional requirements, testing, training, and implementing applications into production environments that support the business unit. Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Ensure all staff is provided with training and resources needed to perform their jobs to the most outstanding degree possible. Ensure all staff is provided with frequent feedback and coaching in order to meet and exceed individual and team performance goals consistently. Manage and encourage new ideas from staff to foster improvements through innovations. Empower the staff to be accountable and responsible for their own actions and decisions. Perform other duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required.5 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.ISEB qualified Business Analyst or completion of HPCC Systems training required.Also required is:3 years of experience: writing and reviewing technical and development specifications liaising with ECL developers, engineers and managers for contributions to the HPCC Systems ideas list; serving as liaison among open-source HPCC Systems Platform to provide technical leadership and guidance on collaboration opportunities for supporting and growing the academic community.2 years of experience: overseeing all aspects of an internship program including student recruitment, hiring and onboarding, engagement, management and mentorship, platform contributions and written deliverables, event presentation participation, achievements, and overall program management success; managing open source HPCC Systems Community support and outreach functions with community partners to build collaboration which include identifying common interests and research areas, providing support and guidance to global academic partners working on HPCC Systems related projects, resulting in contributions to the platform, academic journals and publications, facilitating involvement in annual summit, poster competition, university-led and other industry and community related events; and working closely with marketing and content owners to make sure new features and releases are written and communicated to the wider open source community.Employee reports to LexisNexis Risk Solutions, Inc. office in Boca Raton, FL, but may telecommute from any location within the U.S.Experience can be concurrent.
