JOB TITLE: Conversion Manager DEPARTMENT: Operations REPORTS TO: Operations Manager FLSA STATUS: Salaried, Exempt DATE: 06/13/2022 GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: This position manages all change-over functions for the Mountain Health Aren. AREAS OF RESPONSIBLITY: + Manage the operation of all event set-up and tear down equipment; stages and platforms; basketball floor, goals and scorers tables; risers and railings; sound, lighting, scoreboard and intercom systems; chairs and tables; lobbies, dressing rooms and press room; etc.) + Hire, train, supervise and schedule part-time change-over staff. Complete performance appraisals and make salary recommendations, as requested, on staff. + Prepare and operate with-in the annual change-over department budget. + Develop and implement policies and procedures for change-over crews (i.e., SOP’s, daily “to do” lists, etc.) + Order change-over supplies, equipment and uniforms. + Maintain inventories on change-over equipment, tools and supplies. + Develop and operate a preventative maintenance program for ASM/Global equipment, as directed. + Fully understand Mountain Health Arena layout to maximize usage (i.e., storage, etc.) + Develop and submit lists of necessary repairs and improvements. + Assist as needed in all areas of operations. + Perform other tasks as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: + Demonstrate knowledge of basic tools and methods to erect and dismantle various items including chairs, risers, and stages. + Knowledge of purchasing practices. + Knowledge of supervisory principles with an emphasis in working with, training and scheduling a part-time staff. + Previous change-over experience in a similar facility preferred. + Reasonable accommodations will be considered for those with disabilities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: + Demonstrated technical knowledge of change-over methods. + Ability to speak read and write English. + Ability to access all areas of the MHA + Ability to supervise the Change-over staff. + Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays. PHYSICAL DEMANDS + Occasional sitting, focusing on and operating a personal computer to enter data + Ability to read words and numbers in printed form and on a computer + Ability to speak clearly with proper diction + Walk/stand for extended periods during a shift + Climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs of equipment + Hearing sufficient to clearly hear voices, alarms, bells, and horns + Ability to travel by automobile and/or air + Ability to use standard office equipment, such as calculator, PC, printer, fax, photocopier, telephone WORKING ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS + This position occupies a windowless office environment for possible extended hours during a shift + Will require being outside during adverse weather + May be exposed to a high noise level for extended periods of time, related to event type HOURS OF WORK AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS + This position requires working extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed. + Periodic travel may be required for job training or assisting other ASM facilities NOTE: The essential responsibilities of this position are described under the headings above.
