US Consumer Services Group is responsible for growing the American Express consumer business, strengthening our leadership position in the premium space, and delivering exceptional, differentiated customer experiences. USCS comprises local sales and marketing, travel and lifestyle services, and consumer products including lending, cobrands, and premium products and benefits.
The Manager will be part of the US Consumer Services Financial Planning & Analysis team within Corporate Planning & Analysis (CP&A) and will focus on gathering and manipulating data to prepare analytics to drive actionable business recommendations. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to work with the leadership team, gain deeper understanding of the USCS business, and build out analytical insights on the USCS business. The manager will play a critical role liaising across the consumer LFO and Corporate Planning organizations to provide comprehensive financial insights and a clear trajectory of the overall business momentum to finance leadership.
Responsibilities:
Propose and implement solutions to ad-hoc business problems independently, leveraging data and insights to play the role of strategic advisor Work across the organization, partnering with LFO and Corporate Planning teams, to incorporate strategic insights and subject matter expertise into long-term analytic processes as well as drive ad-hoc requests and analyses Develop tools and analytics to enhance monthly results reporting and focus on the core growth trends in the business Provide thought leadership into key findings and actionable recommendations to help enterprise achieve financial goals Assist in developing/enhancing analytical models and frameworks that incorporate card member behaviors and increased level of data granularity As a critical point of contact across a multitude of stakeholders, this position requires a highly motivated individual with an ability to drive results and work with ambiguity, with a pro-active “can-do” attitudeMinimum Qualification :
5+ years of experience in Finance, analytics, or other comparable strategic roles Proficiency in SQL/programming languages required, experience with Lumi preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to synthesize complex data into an easy-to-understand message Adept at interpreting financial information to derive business insights Highly motivated individual with desire to work on ambiguous projects; With the ability to break down and execute on complex ideasPreferred Qualification
Experience with data visualization tools preferred Knowledge of Oracle and TM1 preferredSalary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
