AS MANAGER COST ACCOUNTING, YOU WILL:

Oversee the company’s cost accounting function, to ensure company’s profitability and inventory cost by product is accurate and in compliance with financial accounting standards.Analyze and reconcile inventory transactions for accuracy and completeness in support of monthly financial reporting. Assist month-end close of the general ledger through production of necessary journal entries to accurately report cost and inventory values.Provide management with analysis specifying and comparing factors affecting the cost and profitability of products;Calculate Inventory reserve monthly based on aging inventory and excess and obsolete factors;Support procurement in the analysis and forecasting of material variances by commodityAssists in the annual budgeting process. Analyze and identify inconsistencies and irregularities in standard product costs to facilitate consistency across plants and product linesCoordinate and provide information to the outside auditing firm during annual audit and plant physical inventories;Conduct ad hoc analyses of the organization's standard costs and variances and presents findings to leadership for decision-making and planningDevelop and/or update accounting and operational process and procedures documentation around the inventory management and costing processes.Support the plant controllers in the establishment and maintaining of internal controls over inventory and cost accountingCollaborate across the business unit to ensure consistency in guidance and thorough analysis of standard cost and associated variances.Work in partnership with the plant controllers, product planning and the operations finance organizations to insure the accuracy of the annual standard costs setting process. Facilitate standard cost discussion.  Proactively seek to improve the accuracy and transparency of the standard cost setting process and implement best in class solutions.Responsible for supervision and development of the cost accounting staff.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.5+ years of cost accounting experience in a relevant financial position with a commitment to excellence for a global manufacturing organization.A motivator and leader of both the Finance and Business organizations; someone who can drive change, promote teamwork, and collaborate with colleagues at all levels of the organization.The ideal candidate is energetic, friendly, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable about numbers and technology.Legal work authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

Flexible Work Schedule – Remote Work Option and Core Hours
This role has the flexibility of a remote work option two to three days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers.

About Our Location
Our newly renovated Sidney campus has 1M square feet of manufacturing floor with an additional 120k square feet of leading-edge lab facilities. This location is the headquarters for our HVACR Americas business unit. Through our many years of compressor expertise, our products help bring comfort and convenience to refrigeration, commercial, industrial, and residential spaces. Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney, who all support a multitude of business functions.
