Join Team Amex and let's lead the way together. **Manager & Counsel – American Express Global Dining** The U.S. Consumer Services team of the General Counsel’s Organization (GCO) is seeking a Manager & Counsel to support Global Dining. The Global Dining team’s mission is to continually define the company’s dining strategy, with a focus on supporting some of the world’s best restaurants, using technology to imagine the future of hospitality and developing Card Member dining benefits. The position will work closely with business partners, legal professionals in the GCO, as well as stakeholders across the enterprise, to provide day-to-day support on a diverse array of legal issues. **Role & Responsibilities:** + Participate as part of a team of seasoned attorneys serving as the primary business lawyers and strategic advisors to the American Express Global Dining business + Provide legal advice and strategic support to business clients responsible for American Express’s Global Dining strategy on a wide range of matters, including product development and other matters impacting the product roadmap, business development initiatives, strategic negotiations, issue and dispute resolution, and various regulatory matters. + Support contract drafting and negotiations for a broad range of agreements, with varying complexity. Examples include partnership agreements for technology integrations, and software-as-a-service, software licensing, and data licensing agreements, vendor agreements, supplier agreements, sponsorship agreements and other strategic agreements. + Provide support for strategic initiatives and special projects underpinning American Express’s Global Dining strategy + Form strong partnerships with business teams, GCO colleagues, Line of Business Compliance, Risk, Finance, Privacy, Global Marketing and Control Management teams to mitigate legal, operational, regulatory and reputational risks + Develop subject matter expertise on laws and regulations that impact consumer facing offers and benefits, including UDAAP. + Collaborate across the General Counsel’s Organization to facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree and J.D. + Admission to practice law in the New York in good standing. + 4 years of relevant work experience in a law firm and/or in-house corporate legal environment **Preferred Qualifications** + High-energy, self-starter with strong written and interpersonal communication skills + Ability to handle multiple workstreams simultaneously, take on new responsibilities and prioritize work in a dynamic, deadline intensive environment + Must work well in cross-functional team settings and have a keen eye for initiating and driving end to end process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity + Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor to business teams + Experience in technology transactions work is a plus **Additional Details** + Location: 200 Vesey St, New York, NY 10285 + Workplace Flexibility: Hybrid **Qualifications** Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually bonus benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
