Job DescriptionTo support the operations and development of the Customs Brokerage product in designated South Asia districts through focus on Compliance and Efficiency in Operations, Costs, People, Systems, and Culture in adherence to the company’s policy and procedures.
Tasks and Duties
Responsible for the Compliance, Customer Service Performance and Productivity of the Service Centre through the following tasks and duties:
Create and maintain an effective service organisation chart with strong structure, which is designed for flexibility and growthEnsure high quality efficient output is provided to the districts being servicedMonitor workloads across functions to ensure available capacity is being used and district expectations are being metReview daily workboards with district Customs Managers, looking at bottlenecks, escalation requirements and prioritisation of the work.Conduct exception management to remove waste and improve efficiency for all clients and all steps in the processProactively communicate with Customs Managers to ensure continuous awareness and understanding of process and activitiesInstil and foster a climate of compliance at all times to regulations. This includes internal policies and procedures and external government regulations or customer policies/requirementsInstil and foster a climate of Process Management Fundamentals in seeking continuous improvement and productivity improvementsPromote and advocate new system enhancements to achieve efficiencySupport global initiatives such as use of Edoc Lift, Raft, EDI and Expo Customs.Ensure all agreed to tasks are complete in full on time and to a high qualityReduce as much manual work as possible. Engage with Account Managers or Customs Managers to establish automation as much as possible for clients with heavy manual workload. (EDI connections into Expo Customs preferrable)Complete end of month breakdown reports for Accounting purposes timely and accuratelyReport to the GM of Customs on performance, including but not limited to Productivity, Overtime and Head Count, Output, Job numbers, Improvement projectsPhysical Demands
