About the opportunity; 

 

We’re looking for an innovative leader to drive the Data Converter Technologies research group. If you’re ready to lead a talented team, shape next-gen cellular infrastructure, and collaborate with top-tier industry players, this is your opportunity to make an impact at Ericsson Research.

 

As the Head of Data Converter Technologies, you will lead a group focused on hardware and algorithm development for cellular infrastructure and devices. The team has six members but plans to expand to eight by 2025. 

 

You will be responsible for shaping the research agenda, ensuring the team is productive, and fostering collaboration with internal and external partners. You’ll define the group’s direction, play a vital role in Ericsson’s leadership in radio hardware research, and develop cutting-edge solutions that drive industry advancements.


 

What you will do; 

 

•    Build, develop, and inspire a high-performing team with clear goals and collaborative practices.
•    Carry out own technical work in circuit design projects involving theoretical simulations, IPR creation, lab verification, and implementation. 
•    Drive cross-organizational collaboration to push the boundaries of Data Converter Technologies
•    Work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure Ericsson's technological leadership.
•    Collaborate with internal departments such as IPR, Licensing, and Product Development while representing Ericsson Research in customer dialogues 
•    Build and maintain external relationships with universities, research institutes, and industry leaders to drive future technology.
•    Drive the team to deliver timely, high-quality, impactful results while promoting Ericsson’s core values.

Skills you bring;

 

•    Extensive experience in integrated circuit design, coupled with strong people leadership skills. You have a track record of guiding teams to research and product development success.
•    Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and effectively communicate technical ideas to internal and external stakeholders. 
•    A track record in innovation, including patents or research breakthroughs. Knowledge of IPR processes and global technical trends.
•    Experience fostering academic and industry partnerships to drive impactful research
•    Experience working in cross-organizational teams and with international partners to drive strategic goals and research directions.
•    Enthusiasm for new methodologies, cutting-edge technologies, and experimental approaches.
•    A Ph.D. or M.Sc. in a relevant field, with practical experience in management roles, R&D, or product development
