The Manager DBSL for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for driving a robust understanding and application of DBS tools across the team and driving short and long term business objectives within Hardware Operations. You will partner with cross functional leaders to drive business results and increase DBS capability and culture. This position is part of the Hardware Operations located in Chaska, MN and will be an on-site position. You will be a part of the Hardware Operations Leadership Team and report to the Director of Production Operations responsible for the Hardware Manufacturing Plant. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + Apply DBS to drive transformative change to improve KPI’s in the Hardware Operations Plant, actively participate in DM to take action and solve problems, coach and mentor work teams to build sustainable processes that deliver on KPI’s + Apply DBS to collaborate with others, asking for feedback and reacting constructively; take initiative and accountability for corrective measures + Collect Gemba evidence and participate actively in Kaizen. Lead others in getting to root cause at Gemba. + Sets and delivers on goals for self that are challenging and aspirational within the scope of available resources to support growth and DBS capability targets. + Include DBS in D4G and engage as CP for DBS tool. Mentor peers and modify behavior based on feedback to enhance impact. The essential requirements of the job include: + Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 7+ years of experience, or Doctoral degree with 9+ years of experience + 4 years’ experience with application continuous improvement/lean manufacturing + Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor associates and teams of various levels from production associates to Sr. Leadership roles + Displays a positive attitude in the face of difficult or challenging situations. Provides an uplifting (yet realistic) outlook on what the future holds and the opportunities it might present. + Can effectively shift approach when situation changes and make decisions without having the total picture or being given clear direction.
