Job Description:
Leads the radiology department operations and staff to provide exceptional patient care and high quality diagnostic imaging services. Manages the daily activities of the department including quality and performance improvement; financial management; human resource management; customer service; and regulatory compliance.
Principle Responsibilities
Manage daily operations for medical imaging.Develops and implements department goals and objectives, assuring compliance to regulatory standards.Assesses, monitors, and improves quality of services.Assures all equipment is operating properly, develops testing programs, and troubleshoots problems as needed.Ensures safety practices are followed within the department and escalates concerns when necessary.Develops and maintains policies and procedures.Develops and implements quality and performance improvement plans.Assures appropriate level and type of supply stock.Manage employees.Hiring and onboarding of new employees.Performance management of employee, including performance reviews.Train, orients and maintains competencies for employees.Maintains scheduling, time off approval and timecard sign-off.Maintain optimal staffing.Oversees department financial management.Develops and administers operating and capital budgets.Responds to variations that affect financial performance.Evaluates and selects capital equipment purchases.Manages staff productivity.Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Associate's or Vocational degree from an accredited school of radiologic technology3 to 7 years of clinical experience in medical imaging2 to 5 years of experience in leadership or management position in a Medical Imaging department
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Health Care Management, Business Management or related field
