Job Overview:
Children s Specialized Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ is looking for a FT Manager for our Dietiticans department to handle all department leadership responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Required:
+ Bachelors degree or higher in Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited college or university.
+ Five years experience in clinical nutrition working with children with complex and chronic disease which includes one year clinical experience in acute care pediatrics and one year clinical experience in rehabilitative or community pediatrics.
+ At least 5 years of experience working with children with diabetes
+ American Heart Association BLS Provider Certification required.
+ Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist CDCES certification required.
+ Registered Dietitian with Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Preferred:
+ Supervisory experience preferred.

+ 40 hours a week

Essential Functions:
+ Directs Clinical Nutrition staff,
+ Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and maintains quality nutritional care for rehabilitation inpatients, outpatients, and long term care residents through the coordination and management of all processes related to Clinical Nutrition Services,
+ Demonstrates both analytical and creative approaches to management of complex patient care and serves as a clinical resource, mentor and consultant for multidisciplinary staff,
+ Provides direct clinical services,
+ Plans, organizes, directs and supervises Clinical Nutrition activities,
+ Develops and administrates Clinical Nutrition department budgets according to hospital guidelines,
+ Ensures that adequate staff, space, equipment and other resources are available to provide department services,
+ Coordinates affiliations with Dietetic Internship programs,
+ Hires, evaluates department staff according to Hospital policies and procedures,
+ Responsible for new staff orientation and ongoing competency,
+ Updates job descriptions,
+ Assures that all clinical staff deadlines are met,
+ Coordinates departmental performance improvement projects,
+ Develops, revises, evaluates and implements departmental policies and procedures,
+ Motivates staff to continuously improve their performance and encourages in them a sense of ownership of their work and of the performance of the department,
+ Provides opportunities for staff input and participation in the operation and direction of the department,
