Your Role at Baxter:

A Manager, Software will be responsible for the development of products and providing creative solutions associated with the design, development, and sustaining engineering for our new and existing product portfolio. The successful candidate will possess solid “hands-on” technical abilities, an excitement and energy for product development, and a passion for their work and the impact it has on meeting the needs of patients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Responsible for on-time and predictable release of a project (new product and sustenance) in alignment with the Program team with good quality.

*  Accountable for resource staffing and project execution with proactive management of technical and project risk to ensure delivery of business commitments.

*  Responsible to drive Quality Compliance for the entire team

*  Owns and drives effective people management practices – creating a healthy team culture adhering to Baxter culture levers, right performance management practices, rewards and recognition practices, succession planning, competency development and mentoring/coaching.

*  Drives the application of principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI

*  Owns and drives continuous improvement activities and innovation for the product lines.

*  Demonstrates customer focus by ensuring quality of software releases and timely resolution of field issues.

Qualifications / Experience and/or Background

Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline is required. Must be able to interact on a technical level.13+ years’ experience in a software engineering role, preferably with experience in enterprise level web/mobile/cloud software products.At least 3 years of experience in managing Software product development teams involving Software leads, Software developers and test engineers in a matrix global organization.Good understanding of SDLC process and prior experience in software development and/or testing.Demonstrated success in owning/delivering software projects.Understanding of Healthcare domain (regulations and standards) and medical software development process is preferred.Excellent project management skills (PMP / Agile certification is a plus).
