The team you will be a part of

The Procurement team identifies researches and evaluates suppliers that meet the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply. Recognizes and evaluate sales, promotional campaigns, and other opportunities to secure reduced prices. Assesses supplier's products to ensure that they comply with specifications and meet the organization's quality standards.

This role in summary

This role plays a critical role in supporting strategic sourcing decisions, optimizing costs, and ensuring supply chain resilience of electronic components and services, while maintaining quality and compliance standards.

Your responsibilities will include

 

Market Trends Analysis, pricing, and availability to inform sourcing decisions.

Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers and contract manufacturers.

Sourcing electronic components, materials, and services from suppliers and contract manufacturers (CMs).

Conducting cost analysis and benchmarking to optimize pricing.

Creating and managing requests for quotes (RFQs) from suppliers.

Analyzing and comparing quotes from suppliers to determine best value.

Leading the development and launch of new electronic products

Negotiate with external suppliers to secure the most advantageous terms and track key functional metrics to improve effectiveness of suppliers and accountable for supplier agreements 

Identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives

Providing insights and recommendations to management through data analysis and reporting.

To be good in Data Information management, Financial reporting support from procurement perspective. 

Manage Total Cost Of Ownership (BOM, Overall Cost Structure, Quality & logistics)

Analyzing inventory levels and optimizing stock levels.

Identifying and mitigating risks associated with component obsolescence and supply disruptions.

Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and logistics to ensure alignment.

Managing budgets and forecasting demand to ensure effective sourcing strategies

Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, PMs, and internal stakeholders.

Ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications.

Knowledge of shipping, warehousing, Custom Duties and delivery of components and finished goods.

Minimum requirements

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS

Necessary 

B.Tech (Electronics/ Electrical Engg)

EXPERIENCE/PREFERRED INDUSTRY

Necessary

6-10  yrs  experience of handling commodities including Electronics

Preferred

Knowledge of Technical and commercial both

Home appliance industry/ Automotive Industry/EMS /Suppliers/Manufacturers 

Preferred skills and experiences

Communication skills are a must to deal with global partners and stakeholders.

Ability to quickly build strong rapport and relationships with internal process partners and suppliers

Logical approach towards problem Solving 

Strong analytical and and stakeholder management skills

Team working skills 

Ability of multitasking and prioritizing activities with strict deadlines

Strong organization, communication and presentation skills

Additional information

Good ability in negotiations techniques, with proven experience 

Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets is required.

 SAP knowledge is a plus. 

Strong Knowledge of cost headers and factors that impact overall cost.

Should be able to comprehend PCB design & drawings and conclude cost based on the design inputs.

Work on global assignments and exposure with outside India projects
