Manager - Employee Communications

**Position Summary**
Caris is looking for a talented communications professional to develop internal and organizational communications content as the Manager, Corporate Communications. This position reports to the Vice President of Corporate Communications, and will focus on communication initiatives that drive awareness, build trust and help deliver thought leadership through original content development and storytelling opportunities.
This role will help lead internal and executive communications initiatives, identifying and recommending content opportunities, and write content for the corporate Intranet, newsletters, blogs, thought leadership content, as well as collaborate on key internal and external communications initiatives.
**Job Responsibilities**
+ Provide communications support including town halls, videos, and employee communications.
+ Provide video updates for internal content for employees and Caris initiatives.
+ Provide daily media update reporting.
+ Assist in the development of patient stories including video, blogs, social media posts.
+ Provide departmental communication strategy and implementation for function areas including HR, compliance, IT, sales, marketing, lab, facilities and investor relations.
+ Develop communication strategies and implement processes, activities and programs that result in consistent messages and timely dissemination of information, in order to increase awareness of the organization’s activities.
+ Coordinate communication efforts with other groups so that consistent messages are being received by shared audiences internally and externally.
+ Accountable for end-to-end management of communications plans: development, design, writing, to support adoption and awareness for stakeholder groups.
+ Ensure communications are factual, consistent, effective and aligned with the communications objectives and corporate strategy.
+ Proofread, review and edit all content for accurate use of grammar, brand voice, AP Style and additional content guidelines established by the company.
+ Provide assistance as needed for strategic communications, financial communications, executive communications, internal and external communications, media relations and crisis communications.
+ Partner with marketing team to ensure content aligns with Caris’ brand identity and key messaging, and assist with the execution of campaigns, as needed.
+ Other duties as assigned by the VP, Corporate Communications.
**Required Qualifications**
+ 4-year degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Journalism, English or relevant field or equivalent experience.
+ 1 to 3 years of in-house communications/public relations or PR agency experience required.
+ Strong command of AP style and able to convey difficult and technical concepts in a clear jargon-free style.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Excellent writing and editing skills with exceptional attention to detail.
+ The successful candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, have experience managing multiple projects and assignments at one time, and write for a range of audiences.
+ Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
+ Knowledge/utilization of SharePoint, WordPress, Canva, Muck Rack
+ Healthcare communications experience a plus; B2B organization preferred.
+ Must be an agile, innovative, self-reliant and creative strategist with a desire to make a broader impact and inspire transformation.
+ Effective Communicator: exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills with strong attention to detail.
+ Team Player: strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with partners across all levels in the organization to drive projects to completion.
+ Analytical Thinker: excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.
+ Strategic Planner: highly organized with the ability to think both long-term and short term, while meeting strict deadlines and performing under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.
+ Relationship Builder: establish credibility with intellectually demanding audiences, while demonstrating confidence and commitment to effectively influence and lead.
