Manager - Employee Health

The Manager of Employee Health is directly responsible and accountable to the Director of Acute Care Specialty Services.

Education, Work Experience and Licensure:

•    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in nursing.  Master’s degree preferred.
•    Minimum of three years’ experience in management in the healthcare setting.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

1.    Manages the employee health service functions of the organization.
2.    Administers healthcare program operations and supervises subordinate staff.
3.    Ensures that all medical records are kept in a manner compliant with appropriate policies and procedures.
4.    May provide consultation regarding workers’ compensation, infection control or other employee health related issues.
5.    Manages through subordinate managers and leaders through their departments within the organization.
6.    Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.
7.    May give input into developing the department budget.
8.    Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
9.    Performs other duties as assigned.
