We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell V-280 Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless, Bell’s Autonomous Pod Transport (APT), and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold tilt-rotor. This position is onsite in Fort Worth however, exceptions for alternate work arrangements may be considered.

Customer Solutions

Today, there are over 10,000 legacy Bell helicopters operating in the world, performing critical work and saving lives. These helicopters represent the majority of Bell’s commercial customer base and revenue generation. The Customer Solutions organization is here to ensure that this fleet continues to be relevant with world class product support. This team includes Product Support Engineers (PSE), Customer Support Engineers (CSE), and Technical Publications. Customer Solutions also has a dedicated multi-disciplinary Sustainment Engineering team focused on product improvement, spare parts and obsolescence management, fielded fleet repairs, and procurement support.

What you’ll be doing as a Manager Engineer – Customer Solutions

Oversee major projects and daily work of the team.

Develop and manage talent by forecasting staffing needs, building team knowledge, managing individual performance, and increasing team engagement.

Develop and manage project schedules and budgets using EVMS (PPM).

Assist the Chief Engineer in managing the department and communicating with Spares, Product Support and other commercial programs.

Assist the Chief Engineer with managing fleet safety issues, Safety Board, and interaction with certifying authorities.

Skills You Bring To this Role

Multi-system design experience is extremely helpful given that this team supports the design and analysis of all components on all legacy aircraft Ability to create well written presentations, memos, reports and other documents to convey concepts and data to SME’s and certification entities. Proficiency with basic office computer software, specifically the Microsoft office suite (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and ability to articulate technical data and concepts to a wide audience of individuals of different backgrounds.Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize a wide variety of activities and tasks in a dynamic environment.

What you need to be successful

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering is preferred but other engineering disciplines will be considered with applicable experience.10 years of design experience in an aerospace engineering related fieldExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to talk to all levels of management, product support, and even customers. Experience working on cross functional engineering teams.Experience with CATIA 6 or other similar solid modeling CAD tools such as NX, SolidWorks.Experience with ENOVIA product lifecycle management software Experience with FAA/TCCA 14 CFR Part 27 or Part 29 project management is desirableSystems engineering and configuration management knowledge / understanding is desirableUnderstanding of the procurement, MRB and QA processes desirable
