The Manager Entity Controlling will work closely with the Central Treasury Unit, Global Treasury Operations, Corporate Tax, and Affiliate Accounting, all based at Abbott Park, and the Europe Treasury Center (NL/CH).

In this role you will work with Abbott’s Shared Services organization, consisting of Abbott’s centrally managed regional HUB in Europe (Dublin) and the external service provider.   

Main Responsibilities:Completeness, correctness, and timeliness of all financial transactions and subsequent financial reporting for Abbott Luxemburg Finance SARL and other entities/duties as assigned.Assuring that accounting records for all entities in scope are prepared and maintained in accordance with the organization’s accounting policies, chart of accounts and related accounting principles and practices; prescribes methods of providing accounting data for various reports and statements; collaborates with Shared Service organization management, particularly HUB management, and with FP&A organizations’ management to develop schedules, procedures, and systems to enable the timely and informative accumulation, adjustment, and reporting of financial data.Demonstrates leadership behavior by setting the strategy that translates into actionable, aligned team goals, takes initiative, gathers data and develops scenario plans, takes appropriate risks and drives innovation, develops, inspires, rewards and shares talent and manages performance, takes action as needed and delivers results.Monitor and support in ensuring the integrity of the monthly financials (e.g. regulatory, compliance, and establishing and maintaining internal control environment).Build, maintain and continuously improve financial processes Be primary contact for internal and external audits.Monitor and ensure Tax compliance (direct and indirect) and manage and follow up on tax audits.Responsible for the financial reporting of the entities in scope of control and specifically, for timely and accurate reporting of internal US-GAAP and local statutory reporting, balance sheet reconciliation process and reporting, ad-hoc analysis and support finance on requests coming from multiple stakeholders, prepare monthly risk sharing calculation, maintain Ledger (GL).

Your Profile:Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, business economics or similar.7+ years of experience in relevant similar roles in international environments is of the essenceBroad and/or deep knowledge in the financial field of expertise, built on deep understanding of the theoretical concepts and principles and their context.Proven strong experience in internal control.Technical accounting expertise as demonstrated by experience with US GAAP and local statutory reporting (Lux GAAP).Affinity with linking Finance and IT.Must be fluent in English, with French or German a plus.Excellent communication skills; experience working across multiple levels, functions and regions.Results driven, experienced working in a dynamic environment.Strong analytical skills.Innovative attitude, challenging continuously the status quo and always looking for improvement.Integrity; adaptable to different or unexpected circumstances and/or in ambiguous situations; strong influencing skills across business functions; problem solving personality.
