Implement / execute agreed contractual processes, practices and strategies for EPC contract management, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, efficient resource utilization, and safe successful on time/budget quality project delivery.
In this role you willIn this role, the individual will:
Create and establish contractual processes, practices, and strategies to perform the administration of the EPC Contract.Assure through contractual instruments the EPC Contractor is complying on safety, schedule, cost, and quality.Lead the control of expenses in line with the agreed budget. Monthly payments shall be following PMS (Project Master Schedule) and Cash Flow.Conduct regular audits and reviews of performance in different areas to identify gaps and areas for improvement.Deliver training and support to project teams on the knowledge and understanding of the EPC contract.Collaborate with other directors, managers, and leaders to ensure consistent compliance of contractual agreements.Supervise that project deliverables meet the required contractual agreements, and offered specifications and standards through quality assurance and survey processes.Responsible for identifying relevant risks, applying mitigation measures, and continuously investigating for risks.Your training, skills and experience checklist
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale multi-billion dollar, infrastructure projects as an owner's representative or project director.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.A solid foundation and experience in contemporary community relations practices and standards are required.
Possess personal qualities of professional leadership, superior intellectual capacity, sound judgment, strong interpersonal skills, and business acumen. Primary skills include project engineering best practices, quality assurance, compliance standards, and risk management. Leadership /management formal training and skills development to a very high level.
Advanced understanding of project management methodologies, contract administration, risk management, and quality assurance principles. +12 years of Experience managing complex projects in diverse geographic locations, preferably in the mining, water treatment, or construction industry. Exposure to complex situations to representatives of Tier 1 suppliers and contractors.Proven experience in claims management, defining negotiation strategies, and dispute resolution.
Understanding of governance and compliance issues from all aspects.
Proven experience in working within a high-performing and diversified leadership team, creating a teamwork environment built on coaching, development, and accountability for achieving results, able to explain and apply project engineering best practices, quality assurance, compliance, and risk management. Practical application proficiency in project engineering and quality assurance that best supports the scope and complexity of the Project.Advanced level Familiarity with International/National standards.
Advanced level Knowledge and ability to apply risk management, including the ability to carry out specific activities using appropriate tools and processes to achieve defined business outcomes.
Proficient in English and Spanish (desirable).
Working Conditions and location
The position will require travel to appropriate locations (Mostly Cajamarca/Site and Lima) to support the Water Treatment Project scope.
The position will require periodic living in the Yanacocha camp
The person must be in good health and physical condition to work in the field in different climatic conditions and at altitudes of 4,000 meters above sea level.
The incumbent may be required to travel and assist other sites nationally and internationally.
