**About the Role:**
The Manager of External Communications is an experienced communications expert responsible for working closely with the global external communications team on the company’s external corporate narrative and storytelling to enhance and protect PVH’s corporate reputation. This role will build impactful relationships with key industry stakeholders and business media reporters to proactively place compelling stories that support PVH business goals and priorities and drive thought leadership and differentiation. Reporting to the VP of External Communications, this role will serve as a communications generalist and collaborate closely with the global communications team to shape culture and drive high performance. A successful candidate will play a critical role in helping the company build _Calvin Klein_ and _Tommy Hilfiger_ into the most desirable lifestyle brands in the world and make PVH one of the highest performing brand groups in its sector.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Work closely with the global external communications and team to drive the company’s external corporate narrative and storytelling to enhance and protect PVH’s corporate reputation.
+ Build impactful relationships with key industry stakeholders and business media reporters to proactively place compelling stories that support PVH business goals and priorities and drive thought leadership and differentiation.
+ Manage thought leadership programs, including awards, rankings, conferences and other external forums.
+ Help to execute a global external communications strategy, including managing an editorial calendar that is aligned to PVH’s business strategies and initiatives.
+ Monitor market trends and innovations and research competitor activity to identify opportunities for PVH differentiation.
+ Support PVH leaders’ preparations (including trainings) for media opportunities and speaking engagements.
+ Create clear and compelling communications materials, including press releases, key messages, talking points, Q&As and proactive/reactive press materials.
+ Research and respond to media inquiries — trade, local, regional, national and international.
+ Analyze and establish performance metrics to measure and improve communications effectiveness and identify actionable insights.
+ Celebrate company culture and promote PVH values; Leverage communications to support an inclusive work environment.
+ Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization through excellent written and verbal communications skills; Translate complex challenges into simple and clear communications.
+ Leverage entrepreneurial mindset and data-driven approach to continuously test, iterate and evolve programming to achieve improved results over time.
+ Manage ambiguous and challenging tasks.
+ Take initiative and personal accountability to lead oneself, meet deadlines and deliverables.
**What You'll Bring:**
+ 5-8 years of experience in global external communications to advance PVH’s missions and goals. A strong background in journalism is welcomed.
+ Extensive understanding of earned media, social media and media measurement; Proven experience working with top-tier media globally, including financial, trade and mainstream, along with exceptional capability in drafting compelling communication, key messages and corporate narratives.
+ Exceptional writing and copy-editing skills, with ability to synthesize complex concepts and translate into simple, clear, and effective communications. Impeccable verbal and communications and people skills.
+ Strong knowledge of best-in-class external communications practices and proficiency with next generation communications tools.
+ Ability to articulate and represent the voice of PVH and its leaders.
+ Strong business acumen (experience in retail, apparel and/or consumer industries a plus) with proven ability to connect business goals and objectives with communications strategies for maximum impact.
+ Proven experience developing thought leadership strategies, including traditional and social media strategies, that company goals to broader themes and industry trends.
+ Demonstrate a learning mindset, critical thinking skills and strong problem-solving capabilities; Sees the opportunity and possibility in challenges; Enjoys making the impossible possible.
+ Comfort and confidence working alongside senior executives in fast-paced, high stakes situations; Proven ability to successfully influence, facilitate and partner with leaders in all levels.
+ Ability to roll up one’s sleeves and execute; Track record of producing excellent results.
+ Hyper attention to detail; ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines.
+ Successful at relationship building and collaborating across a highly matrixed global environment; Willingness to work across different time zones to ensure strong alignment and seamless execution.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, English or related field.
+ Ability to work outside of traditional business hours when necessary.

Pay Range:$96,500 - $120,000
PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills. PVH is committed to providing a market-competitive total rewards package to eligible associates, which includes diverse and robust health and insurance benefits to meet the varied needs of our associates and an above-market 401(k) contribution to help our associates save for retirement. Additional Compensation: This role is bonus eligible.
