The Facilities Maintenance team at Northrop Grumman Tactical Space Systems (NGSP TSSD) is looking for you to join our team as a Manager Facilities Maintenance 2 based out of Gilbert, AZ location.

Responsibilities include oversight and management for facilities maintenance for the entire campus, including clean rooms, labs, compressors, vacuum systems, as well as over $100 million dollars’ worth of high-tech composite structures manufacturing equipment. As part of the facilities team, you will provide reviews as to the status of maintenance and reliability issues across the campus and be accountable for the scope, schedule, and budget of each area of activity.  Your focus will include understanding Maintenance Connect (asset management system) and other system applications to assure proper work control on preventative maintenance, emergency repair, and equipment modifications.  This position has considerable latitude for independent action and decision making.  You will support our current facility and allow it to grow to the next level of operations and production.  You will prepare presentations and reports detailing the equipment operational availability & equipment effectiveness.

Other key responsibilities:

Supervises, provides guidance and leadership for multiple shifts, to maintain, and repair utilities systems, buildings, and equipment via all the following trades: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, air-conditioning, heating, painting, and/or general maintenance.  Sets priorities and allocates the resources needed to complete all preventive and corrective maintenance tasks based on goals, objectives and company policyDirectly participates in establishing and administering maintenance work tickets and projectsPrepares, executes and statuses maintenance management budgets, contracts agreements and standards of performancePlanning, risk management, and project performance addressing cost, schedule, and technical quality with full responsibility for all aspects of performance on a large technical services-type contract with objective guidance givenHelps meet established schedules or resolve technical or operational problemsManages facilities equipment and tooling spare parts inventories to assure operational readinessDrives root cause & corrective action, utilizing reliability engineeringUses lean thinking/manufacturing fundamentals and TPM principles to organize workflow, streamline internal processes and minimize equipment downtimeCommunicates directly with operations management on status of equipment within the facility, escalate issues as needed for full transparency into maintenance operations. Conducts briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, or contractual clarifications.Interprets, executes, and recommends modifications to organizational policies

Basic Qualifications:

10 Years with Bachelors; or 8 Years with Masters; an additional 4 years of applicable work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s DegreePrevious experience, in-depth hands-on knowledge ,of facilities and equipment maintenance and reliability services, understanding of several diverse disciplinesUnderstanding and experience in troubleshooting facilities infrastructure equipment, mechanical and electrical systems that supports manufacturing operationsActs as an advisor to subordinate supervisors or staff members to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problemsAbility to effectively communicate with counterparts and leadership by conducting meetings, briefing presentationsExperience working in collaboration across multiple organizations, contracts, and/or customer relationshipsProficient in Word, Excel, MS Project, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with CAD/3D design and/or ability to read and interpret blueprintsExperience in lean manufacturing and maintenance systemsExperience in aerospace industryExperience working in high-rate manufacturing facilities operating on a 24/7 schedule.Experience in automated industrial equipment such as storing, retrieving, forming, autoclave, conveyance, trim, inspections, and CNC machining centersDemonstrated ability to effectively lead teams with diverse maintenance/craft skills and backgrounds. Hands-on experience/background in maintenance fields strongly preferred (Mechanic, Millwright, Pipefitter, HVAC background).Proven positive impact on employee engagement activities across program and functional organizationsProven financial, schedule, subcontract management, technical performance, and execution experience

Salary Range: $101,500.00 - $152,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
