JOB SUMMARY:

Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the Shift Manager, Shift Supervisors and general maintenance mechanics and trades people on assigned shift, relative to corrective, emergency, and preventive maintenance projects.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Must adhere to the Seminole Tribe's Policies and Procedures. Over see the Facility Shift Manager and Shift Supervisors, assign jobs, and ensure timely completion of projects and insure we inspect what we expect. Perform routine field inspections on-site and at off-site locations.On-Call to respond to emergencies and outages.Prepare technical reports and maintain NIGC logbooks as required.Maintain and apply knowledge of applicable fire, health, safety and environmental standards, as well as relevant state, local, and national codes.React in a timely manner to emergency situations and act as on-call for emergencies.Coordinate Capital projects with appropriate department and vendors to ensure minimal guest interruption.Instruct and train Supervisors, and Inventory Controller as appropriate.Adhere to all Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s Policies and Procedures.
Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned, related and non-related.Promote positive employer/public relations at all times. Interact with internal departments as appropriate.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

 

This job has supervisory responsibilities.

 

Responsible for staff development and training programs.Responsible for rewards and recognition programs to maximize employee engagement.Evaluates Team Members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees in regard to performance.Determines recommendations for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning, and directing work) to meet business needs.Determines work procedures and expedites workflow.Responsible for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, counseling). Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma, trade school certificate preferred. One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in commercial / industrial facilities maintenance preferred. One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in a casino environment. One (1) to three (3) years supervision of a maintenance crew. 5 to 10 years’ experience in the Commercial HVAC field and the ability to trouble shoot and assist with HVAC repairs when needed. Experience with Building Management Systems related to the control of the HVAC systems.

 

Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word) and have knowledge of Casino Operations operating systems.

Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, guests, and the general public.Must have extensive knowledge of all Casino Operations.Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

 

Prolonged period of walking, reaching, climbing and moving/carrying weight of up to 100 lbs.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Constant exposure to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to crowds, secondhand smoke, and excessive noise. Intermittent time in office consisting of environmental factors typical in an indoor, climate-controlled office environment.

First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements.
