ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Manage the activities involved in the maintenance of facilities and equipment.
· Responsible for building operations including structural maintenance.
· Responsible for regulatory and building code compliance.
· Direct, supervise and evaluate work activities of department staff.
· Provide staff management to including hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.
· Ensure safe operations and adherence to regulatory requirements.
· Serve as project manager for small scale, short duration projects.
· Develop and manage budget and inventory systems.
· Manage the activities involved in the design and renovation projects for a facility.
· Analyze metrics and make recommendations for improvements and solutions to issues that are identified.
· Initiate and authorize repairs or replacements and prepare related cost estimates.
· Be on-call for building emergencies.
· Responsible for facility operational effectiveness and safety.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
· Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in facilities management or operations required.
· Five or more years’ experience in similar position required.
· One or more years of supervisory experience preferred.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
· Valid state driver's license.
· CPR certification required.
· First aid may be required based on state or facility.
· Valid Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) preferred.
