St. Jude's Facilities Operations and Maintenance department is looking for a Program Manager - Facility. This role will lead efforts to assess the condition of assigned building and associated systems, identify deficiencies, and initiate proper corrective action. This position will develop and implement life-cycle driven actions such as contracting for replacement of end-of-life equipment and maintain compliant records to document all actions taken on buildings, systems, and personnel. This role will lead facilities maintenance programs and ensure safe and proper supervision. This role requires at least an associate's degree and at least 5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or similar. Experience Exception: 2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or similar with a Bachelor’s degree. You will also need 2+ years of experience managing people as direct reports. Job Responsibilities: Lead and manage the overall execution of facilities maintenance projects and operational implementation of one or more compound programs of varying complexity. Assist in all departmental administrative and supervisory functions and assume full responsibility for departmental performance in the absence of Mgr-Facility Maintenance. Ensure safe and proper supervision, monitoring, operation and maintenance of assigned areas, including systems and equipment according to departmental policies and procedures. Lead development and implementation of standards, policies and procedures for facilities maintenance. Resolve problems, emergencies and other matters affecting assigned areas of responsibility, including associated systems and equipment. Engage in hiring, performance management, and other people processes. Plan ongoing training and skill-building programs for own team; Identify and address team strengths/ skill gaps through appropriate interventions. Minimum Education and/or Training: Associate's Degree (e.g., Administration, Engineering, Facility Maintenance Technology, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Technology, or similar program Minimum Experience: 5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or similar. Experience Exception: 2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or similar with a Bachelor’s degree. 2+ years of experience managing people as direct reports. Experience in providing QA/QC with projects and experience with either DNV or The Joint Commission preferred. Experience leading projects/ processes end-to-end including resource planning and management, and communication and collaboration with internal cross-functional teams and external partners preferred. Experience developing and implementing department-wide process improvement initiatives. Some experience presenting in team meetings and/or to senior management. Proven performance in earlier role. Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required by SJCRH Only: Steam and HVAC License from Memphis/Shelby County and/or the state of Tennessee, preferred. DNV CHOP B or equivalent, preferred. Build structures and processes with clear lines of authority and accountability so teams know what they are empowered and accountable to do. Build a culture of customer centricity among peers and teams. Understand nuances and complexities of a customer issue/requirement and goes over and above in thinking through new alternatives. Anticipate and address critical customer needs through engagement with cross-functional stakeholders. Leverage technical expertise to assist with the design and development of facility maintenance standards, processes and programs. Conduct regular audits and identify trends, patterns, and insights from the data to drive operational improvements. Work closely with other teams to ensure quick and efficient routine and emergency maintenance procedures. Demonstrate physical fitness and is able to work in a stressful environment. Able to deliver results through others by setting stretch goals and holding them accountable. Coach team members with concrete feedback and improvement ideas, including addressing employee relations concerns. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
