The Field Applications Manager (f/m/d) for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for overseeing the deployment and support of diagnostic applications and systems. This role involves managing a team of application specialists, ensuring that diagnostic solutions are effectively implemented, optimized, and maintained to meet customer needs. The Application Manager will work closely with internal teams and external customers to drive the successful adoption and utilization of diagnostic applications, enhancing overall efficiency and accuracy in laboratory environments.

This position is part of Central Europe Field Applications team located in Germany and will be fully remote. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the European Field Applications Team and report to the Senior Manager for field Applications Europe responsible for overseeing the deployment and support of diagnostic applications and systems. This role involves managing a team of application specialists, ensuring that diagnostic solutions are effectively implemented, optimized, and maintained to meet customer needs. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Drive a culture high performance and change management through developing talent, engagement, and D&I initiatives.

To work in conjunction with and build excellent relationships with fellow Field Service Leaders to provide a consistent approach for Field Service Applications.

To assist in improving customer service experience using Net Promoter Score (NPS) feedback and Voice of the Customer (VOC).

Take ownership of customer issues, escalating if necessary. This includes regular communication with internal and external customers where required.

Analyze and provide statistics for Field Service Applications Team to improve objectives and set KPI’s.

Recruit, mentor and develop Field Service Application Specialists using Workday portal and other tools.

Keep ahead of industry developments and apply best practices to areas highlighted for improvement using associated Danaher Business System (DBS) tools.

The essential requirements of the job include:

Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in application support and deployment, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.

Proven experience in the diagnostics industry, with a strong understanding of diagnostic applications and systems.

Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements in the diagnostics industry.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

Driving License and fluent in German and English.

Ability to travel 50%

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Experience in the healthcare industry with multiple examples of successfully leading complex projects with the ability to work independently and part of a team.

Ability to “think outside the box” and express creative thinking and innovative ideas.

Location: Flexible but in the region covered near an airport that allows ability to travel.
