What you'll be doing

The Manager of Finance is responsible for leading, managing, and supervising the Finance team. This role includes participating in month-end financial reviews, supporting operations, budgets, audits, cost reporting, and contributes to financial analysis duties.

This position plays a vital role in overseeing financial operations, supporting initiatives, and fostering a collaborative environment. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare finance and the ability to communicate complex information clearly to various stakeholders.

Work Location/travel: This position can be based out of Kalispell, MT or out of Shelby, MT or Conrad, MT locations. If you are based out Kalispell, monthly travel to Shelby/Conrad will be required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business required; MBA and/or CPA preferred.

Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience.

Minimum of four (4) years of healthcare analytical or finance experience required; experience with Critical Access, cost reports, audits, and reimbursement preferred.

Experience with adapting to new systems, including Electronic Health Records (EHR), highly preferred.

Strong knowledge of financial operations, documentation, and reporting related to healthcare.

Project management skills required with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work.

Proficient in Meditech and Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn new software as needed.

Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking ability.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex information in an accessible way to various audiences.

Proven ability to build and foster relationships, and work effectively as a team builder and collaborator.

Strong interpersonal skills to manage sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism.

Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, train, and supervise the assigned Finance staff.

Participate in month-end finance reviews and provide support to operations.

Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and cost reports in accordance with GAAP.

Collaborate with leadership to develop short- and long-range operational and capital budgets.

Assist in budget variance reporting and support gap closure efforts.

Educate department leaders on financial tools and variance explanations.

Foster team building and collaboration within the Finance department and with other stakeholders.

Act as the local Finance subject matter expert, driving operational improvement projects.

Schedule:

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week.  Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
