Purpose: 

The Manager reports to the Retail Sr. Director FP&A and functions in a department that provides full P&L reporting and consolidation for Retail and will supervise 2 financial analysts. This position is responsible for leading critical areas including the annual budget, Capital Planning and tracking, Free Cash Flow reporting, periodic forecasts, and period-end P&L reporting. This role will also support the Operations team’s initiatives by leveraging actioned based reporting to enhance store profitability. The incumbent manages the training, supervision, and proper allocation of resources to ensure timely and professional completion of all work.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for overall reporting of Total Retail, Cub and Shoppers financial results.  With other Retail FP&A team members to gather inputs and build an accurate forecast.  Owns the annual Sales, EBITDA and Capital budget and periodic forecast processes for Retail.  Report, forecast and Budget Free Cash Flow.  Owns tracking against VDO Charters and owns operations reporting for weekly Merch/Ops call.  Support the monthly close reporting process including analysis, consolidation and P&L reporting down to store level.  Develop and manage reports that provide key insights for the Retail leadership team and Retail Operations leaders.  Analyze, question and present financial information to Retail leadership team.  Provide leadership, development, and training for two financial analysts.  Execute on special projects timely and accurately as assigned. 

Job Requirements:

Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available. 

Education/ Certifications/or Equivalent combination of education training and experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, or equivalent experience is essential.  Advanced degree or candidate seeking MBA desired.  5-10 years of relevant finance and FP&A experience  3+ years of supervisory experience

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements. Sales Positions Only: For sales positions that are commission-based, the above range is an estimate of total potential commission-based compensation during an associate’s first year, but UNFI offers an introductory period minimum of $680 per week. After the introductory period, as a 100% commission-based role, there is no set salary. UNFI’s commission plans are uncapped and average earnings vary depending on territory and sales achieved, among other factors.
