Manager - Financial Reporting

Responsible for managing the preparation of our SEC filings, coordinating with the legal team for miscellaneous filings, and ensuring ongoing Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.  Works with the Accounting Department as well as all major functional leaders of the company, including senior executives.

Primary Responsibilities:

Prepare the quarterly and annual reports on Form 10-Q/10-K and manage the internal and external review for these filingsCreate and maintain SEC calendar to inform parties of necessary deadline adherence for the following process: financial close, Audit Committee meetings, earnings release, and 10-Q/10-K/8-K/11-KMonitor and ensure timely identification and compliance with evolving accounting guidance, provide US GAAP interpretation, and prepare technical memorandums that document issues in a clear, logical and comprehensive mannerManage communications with external auditors on financial statements and accounting issues to ensure auditor agreement with company decisions on accounting disclosures and issuesCommunicate and explain accounting issues and evolving accounting guidance to management teamAssist in the coordination of annual audit and quarterly review activities of external auditorsCreate, implement, and maintain comprehensive accounting policy documents to improve clarity and consistencyImplement and maintain reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements.Perform continuous assessment and improvement of the close process to reduce the timing to close the financial periodPreparation of quarterly earnings releaseSupport month-end and year-end closingParticipate in monthly financial trend meetingManage the implementation and maintenance of SOX 404, including documentation of processes and procedures, and implementation of controlsDevelop and maintain policies, procedures, and workflow for assigned areas of responsibilityProtect organization's value by keeping information confidentialParticipate in other projectsAbility to research and propose company positions on complex accounting issuesAbility to review and self-check work for accuracy and create a high-quality end work product

Job Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Master’s degree preferredCPA required

Experience:

5+ years of experience in public accounting including experience with SEC disclosuresSupervisory experienceKnowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules and regulationsExperience with SOX 404 complianceProficient at analyzing complex data by using logic and quantitative reasoningDetail-oriented with great organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Office and ERP financial systemsAbility to multi task and prioritize dutiesHighly motivated, self-starterCreative problem solver
