Manager Fleet Maintenance

By joining United Site Services, you will be part of an organization that values continuous improvement, teamwork, and excellence in every aspect of our business. **Primary Purpose** The Director of Fleet Maintenance manages all aspects of fleet (Trucks, trailers, fence, etc.) maintenance. Works with internal and external partners to ensure timely fleet maintenance is aligned with business priorities and objectives. **Essential Functions** + Coordinate with procurement to maximize fleet up-time while minimizing vendor spend + Participate in vendor negotiations + Develop maintenance guide for key vendors + Develop fleet wide preventative maintenance plan + Create business unit requirements for all vendor maintenance units + Manage all fleet maintenance operations + Provide leadership and direction to ensure fleet reliability, minimum downtime, and effective service and repair networks + Work with operations to establish and maintain optimal service interval standards that meet or exceed OEM recommendations for new and existing assets + Ensure that all company vehicles and equipment are compliant with established service interval standards as well as all regulatory inspections + Perform cost-benefit analysis on new technologies and operational methodologies aimed at increasing vehicle and equipment safety, efficiency, and return on investment + Develop and manage maintenance, technological advancements, inspections, asset condition and availability, and operational efficiency reporting for corporate office and operating companies + Support in the management and capture of warranty assistance + Perform repair and maintenance expense analysis, developing reports and cost-reduction strategies + Assist with dispose-keep decisions in support of company budget process and disposal guidelines + Responsible for oversight and leadership of telemetry system(s), standards, and reporting **SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES** This position does have direct supervisory responsibilities. **Qualifications** **EDUCATION** **Min/Preferred Education Level Description** Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree Business Administration or related field, required. **EXPERIENCE** **Minimum Years of Experience Maximum Years of Experience Comments** 7 10 Progressively responsible experience 3 in a leadership role with direct reports **ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES** + Extensive knowledge of contracted fleet maintenance models + Familiarity with GPS/Telematics platforms and Fleet Management Information Systems + Strong mechanical inclination with experience in technical environments + Comfortable with cost analysis and strong judgement related to using data for decision + ASE Master Certification, a plus. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications.
