Manager Food Safety Quality & Regulatory Affairs
We are looking for a **Manager Food, Safety, Quality and Regulatory Affairs** to join our team in either Omaha or Chicago. This is a corporate role supporting assigned plant locations and will require travel to assigned plant locations across the U.S. When not travelling, you will be in our either our Chicago or Omaha corporate office approximately 4 days a week. As the FSQRA Manager, reporting to the Director FSQRA, you'll ensure food safety and quality across your facilities. You'll create and maintain programs that meet company and regulatory standards in areas like food safety, sanitation, operations quality, thermal processing, cannery, labeling, packaging, and audits. Plus, you'll keep an eye on audit criteria to spot any gaps or missing requirements. **What you'll do:** + Champion a positive food safety culture, take ownership, and empower others to take immediate action on matters concerning food safety. + Maintain knowledge of GFSI Benchmarked Schemes and ensure Food Safety Plans (HACCP) meet standards. + Provide technical support to ensure regulatory compliance and product quality. + Maintain relationships with packaging suppliers and collaborate to enhance food safety and quality. + Manage team budget and use continuous improvement tools. + Lead food safety improvement programs and develop training content. + Promote food safety culture best practices at corporate and facility levels. + Mentor QA teams, conduct audits, and ensure compliance through inspections. + Analyze data to provide feedback on product safety and quality. + Collaborate with departments and suppliers to enhance food safety and quality. **What you'll bring:** + Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Food, Biological or Chemical Science or related field. + 5+ years of food industry experience in QA, Operations or equivalent function required. + Previous experience developing and leading teams required. + Demonstrated leadership and experience auditing complex manufacturing sites. + Leadership in development of auditing tools. + Advanced experience of in food safety and quality regulations and standards (GMP, GFSI [SQF, BRC, other benchmarked scheme], HACCP, SSOP), government regulatory requirements, food safety, food manufacturing processes, technologies. + Familiar with GFSI audit process, recall notifications, and appeals. + Skilled in technical report writing and communication. + Proficient in troubleshooting, data analysis, and investigations. + Understands financial budgets and principles. + Able to travel 30-70% independently as a Conagra representative. + We require applicants for this role to be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship either now or in the future. **Physical Requirements:** + Sit, walk, or stand for up to 8 hours. + Climb stairs or ladders regularly. + Push/pull plant materials or equipment. + Maneuver in cramped spaces. + Work in manufacturing environments with noise, heat, cold, wet/slippery conditions, dirt, fumes, smoke, smells, and all food allergens for up to 8 hours. + Bend or crawl frequently and move safely around machinery. + Drive a company or rental vehicle for up to 8 hours if needed \#LI-MH1 \#LI-MSL \#LI-ONSITE **Compensation:** Pay Range:$104,000-$152,000 _The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity.
