**How will you make an impact in this role?**
The Manager, Business Planning & Financial Analysis position, is a hybrid position based in New York, reporting to the Director, Business Planning & Financial Analysis within the American Express General Counsel's Organization (GCO). The successful candidate will provide a variety of broad-based financial support to the GCO including, but not limited to:
+ Liaising with the Corporate Finance team on planning, results and other GCO issues impacting AXP;
+ Assisting with ongoing internal operating expense and staff headcount tracking and management;
+ Conducting various financial analysis projects to help facilitate strategic decision-making;
+ Assisting with planning and periodic reporting activities;
+ Developing and delivering various analytical and other GCO Operations Finance presentation materials;
+ Supporting, as required, periodic managing counsel and senior leader ad-hoc requests;
+ Examining opportunities to optimize the mix of internal resources and outside counsel legal spending across the enterprise.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ 5 years of experience in Finance, analytics, or other comparable strategic roles
+ Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail
+ Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills
+ Ability to synthesize complex data into an easy-to-understand messages and insights
+ Excellent relationship skills; consultative approach with key stakeholders, with an ability to generate ideas to improve overall expense performance
+ Self-starter with the ability to progress multiple efforts simultaneously
+ Proven ability to drive outcomes; a strong work ethic and will-to-win, and demonstrated personal excellence
**Qualifications**
Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
