Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manger General Manufacturing 1 - Front-Line Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our organization. This leadership role is located in Palmdale, CA.
The Manager General Manufacturing 1- Front-line Manager will have the responsibility, authority, and accountability for leading the manufacturing activities of a given cost center within restricted programs, including quality, cost and schedule objectives and factory accountability, which will include the following responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
Providing direction and coaching to technicians and other production personnel in the assembly and manufacturing areas.
Ensures team members receive the required training and prepares the daily work plans in support of overall program objectives.
Encourages and provides direction for career development of employees, including educational options for highly motivated employees.
Provides leadership/direction to ensure all affordability initiatives and opportunities for process improvements are systematically identified, pursued, and supported.
Candidates must be willing to work Monday - Thursday - 1st shift (5:00 am - 3:30 pm) or 2nd shift (4:12 pm - 2:42 am) OR Friday - Sunday - 1st shift (5:00 am - 3:30 pm) or 2nd shift (3:00 pm - 1:30 am) ., phenomenal learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and a very friendly team environment. Basic Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma/GED AND 5 years of related professional/military experience in aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing, maintenance and/or related environmentMust have 1 year of prior management/leadership experience.Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required) as well as the ability to obtain and maintain Program Special AccessMust be willing to work any of the following schedules: Monday - Thursday - 1st shift (5:00 am - 3:30 pm) or 2nd shift (4:12 pm - 2:42 am) OR Friday - Sunday - 1st shift (5:00 am - 3:30 pm) or 2nd shift (3:00 pm - 1:30 am)Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree
Experience in an Aerospace Manufacturing environmentExcellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and managementExperience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPointSalary Range: $97,600.00 - $146,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
