MANAGER HOSPITALITY WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? Manages relationship development strategies to promote revenue growth and profitability while maintaining credit quality. Responsible for the overall loan production business plan and coordination of all loan production activity. Establish external business contacts in the industry and the local market to stay abreast of industry standards and changes to create/revise strategic or tactical initiatives. Manages the ongoing client service process, including new client sales, referrals, and retention efforts. Develop business opportunities by being active in the community and maintaining positive relationships within the Bank. Creates and maintains effective relationships ensuring that lines of communication remain open and clients are serviced at a consistently high level. What you will do Lead, build and develop a talented and creative team with sufficient knowledge, skills, and experience to successfully support the goals of the Commercial Real Estate Banking Division. Establishes individual goals and objectives for team and creates an environment that encourages team members to develop profitable relationships and focus their efforts on achieving highest levels of performance. Ensures that relationship development plans are created, implemented, and monitored for each client or prospect. Conducts progress meetings to review results to goal and provides alternative strategies to ensure individual and team goals are met. Redirects team members’ efforts when necessary and helps them achieve their performance objectives. Conducts an annual review of all client relationships to ensure that clients are properly assigned. Monitors relationships to ensure that cross-sell activities and retention efforts are maximized and that client satisfaction is maintained. Interfaces with Credit Administration and Credit Manager to ensure credit quality and compliance strategies are implemented and the process is efficient and effective. Insures accurate and timely risk identification. Works with Credit Management and Relationship Manager to approve credit transactions that meet client needs and ensures consistency with the credit quality standards and operational compliance requirements of the Bank. Shares and engages direct reports in the CNB vision and goals. Maintains appropriate staffing ratios and manages resources to optimize client support and unit profitability. Must-Have* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Minimum 15 years experience in Finance and Banking required Minimum of 10 years commercial real estate finance experience - Hospitality focused. Skills and Knowledge Ability to generate business through leveraging existing clients of City National Bank and prior relationships, as well as developing new relationships in the market area. Ability to evaluate opportunities while understanding the risks associated with these product types and geographies. Strong credits skills, preferably from a national lender, are required. Operate with a high level of integrity and understand your contribution to the entire City National Bank operation. Effectively manage the balance of meeting and or exceeding annual loan production goals while acting as a true fiduciary of CNB in terms of loan quality, all while being a true team player throughout the organization. Ability to recruit and manage organization talent, both as a Player/Coach with direct contribution to production, and as a leader and mentor who has deep originator relationships to help build a top origination team. Proven ability to attract, build and develop a talented and creative team with sufficient knowledge, skills, experience to drive successful delivery of the company’s commercial real estate strategies. Perception as a trusted advisor by both the staff and the client. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external clients and Bank colleagues. MBA or other advanced degree related to real estate or finance is desirable. Compensation Starting base salary: $195,995 - $364,003 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
