Manager HR
Essential Functions: Responsible for a providing a partnered HR service to managers and employees at the location, that challenge existing practices to improve HR effectiveness and employee engagement. This is a hands on role that manages and facilitates all HR activities on site, whilst working with the wider European team. Specific Responsibilities Include: + Manage the whole employee lifecycle and ensure employee engagement is maintained through our HR processes and procedures + Maintain effective HR processes and strategies in collaboration with the management team to meet business needs + Hold the relationship with the Works Council in Partnership with the Plant Leader, attending meetings and driving the agenda, in a positive coproduction approach to foster a good working relationship with the team. Ensure that policies are in line and reflective of the modern workplace and reflect the Corporate direction, in line with local law and business requirements + Embrace, champion and facilitate systems implementation within the plant to streamline and enhance business processes + Proactively manage absence alongside the Management Team to ensure employee wellbeing is maintained and business needs are met + Ensure managers are equipped to deal with absence management and coach them to reduce the absence rates within their teams + Manage and facilitate completion of the performance management process for the location, ensuring appropriate plans are in place, and Managers and individuals are engaged in the completion of their individual goals, that are aligned to the business strategy + Instigate the implementation of Individual Development Plan activities in line with training budget + Drive and manage succession planning across site and ensure that it is meeting the needs of the business for the future + Understand manpower planning and ensure that recruitment, selection & induction process are fit to meet business needs. Ensuring managers are using effective interviewing, psychometric and skills assessment testing, where appropriate, to ensure high quality candidates are appointed and retained + Implement and drive data analysis and data usage though efficient usage of the corporate systems. + Work within the local community to facilitate the apprenticeship program ensuring this feeds into the succession plan of the plant + Guide and create the retention plan for the site to ensure that once employees join the business best practice processes facilitate their smooth onboarding journey + Provide advice and guidance in handling complex employee relations cases + Create and assist with creating improved employee engagement and subsequent Global Voice Survey results and action plans + Review compensation & benefits including payroll, job evaluation and job grading system and benefits & compensation evaluation in line with the internal and external legal advisors and policies + Complete all ASAT and external audits and reporting for both the local team and the Corporation. This includes but is not limited to census, working hours, absence, turnover, headcount reporting, regulatory audits ethics & compliance tracking + Automate and streamline HR Processes, utilizing the systems to drive the process improvements ensuring the team can focus and work on value add topics + Ensure that exit interviews are carried out by line Managers to support the site engagement plans and use the data to inform the future plans of the team + Ensure site compliance to mandated training to be completed on time and accurate records of attendance are maintained + Enable relationships with Payroll, Compensation and benefit providers + Ensure employee data is maintained in accurate, sensitive and confidential manner + Visibility on the shop floor to encourage and maintain good employee relations + The above list is not an exhaustive list of duties and the individual may be asked to complete Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or Business Administration or 5 years of experience in the HR Field Experience and Background: Minimum 5 years of experience in HR roles within large multinational businesses Must have at least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment Must have at least 3 years experience of managing a team Proven interpersonal and leadership abilities to proactively lead a team of managerial and professional people and to interact effectively with individuals and groups both internal and external to the company and at all organizational levels.
