Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector (MS) is seeking a Manager, HR Business Partner 2 to join our Airborne Multifunction Sensors (AMS) HR team in support of the AMS Engineering & Sciences Organization. The selected candidate will have full, HR responsibilities in addition to leading a team of HR Business Partners. This position is located in Baltimore, MD.
Job Summary:
Delivery of HR human capital strategy to the assigned client groups while growing the team and developing the next generation of HR leadersEstablish intimate understanding of the business, build and expand relationship with clients and create close partnerships across HR, centers of excellence (COEs) and matrixed organizationsSupport and partner with HR colleagues in talent acquisition; compensation; benefits; employee relations; diversity, equity & inclusion; and organizational effectiveness to support talent strategiesIdentify trends, risks, and opportunities within the organization and develop solutions in partnership with division and COEsAdvise leadership on best practices in the areas of talent acquisition, development, compensation, organizational effectiveness, strategy, change management, and communicationsAnalyze and concisely present information to the management team to support and enable business growth and sound decision makingProvide business insight through data analysis, research, and benchmarkingPlay a key leadership role in reinforcing a culture of growth, innovation, and calculated risk taking through the application of human capital strategy, tools, and processesFocus on comprehensive Leadership Development activities including succession planning and strategic leadership to build talent pipeline and depthSupport and enable leaders to make informed decisions about talent and to hold their organizations accountable for resultsBasic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant progressive HR experience OR Master’s with 6 years of relevant progressive HR experience. Practical experience in multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation, organizational effectiveness, talent acquisition, performance management and employee relationsOutstanding organization and project management skills with the ability to create project plans and manage the delivery of high-quality, on-time products in a dynamic environmentExceptional interpersonal, collaboration, communication and relationship-building skillsAbility to manage multiple, competing priorities in an efficient and effective manner within critical deadlinesProven ability to identify and proactively determine the best ways to address issuesPossess a strategic mindset; identify areas for improvement and bridge gaps between organizations to drive implementation of improvementsAbility to make recommendations and provide guidance to effectively bring projects to completionAbility to leverage HR processes, tools and data/data analytics to accelerate business results and the employee experienceDemonstrated success in building or enhancing a collaborative culture; have the capacity to assess people issues impacting the business and develop/implement solutions.Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality and safeguard sensitive informationHighly advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint skillsAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearanceUS citizenship requiredPreferred Qualifications:
Strong understanding of Northrop Grumman culture and demonstrated success effectively working within company’s organization, processes, and proceduresExperience with domestic and international programs, operations and businessesExperience in consulting / coaching senior leadershipExpertise in change management and strategic communication strongly preferredExperience working in a matrixed environmentDemonstrated capability in process improvement implementationExperience leading project teamsStrong proficiency with WorkdaySalary Range: $123,400.00 - $185,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
