Manager I, Sales Systems Operations

Position Profile

Responsible for the design, support, and management of aligned Sales Operations projects. Assume leadership and accountability for successful performance, improvement, and execution in assigned project areas. This includes, but is not limited to, project/task definition, prioritization, and working collaboratively with Sales and IT to identify project requirements. Leads cross-functional project development and ongoing enhancement efforts.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Perform functional analysis, gap identification, and requirements definition for requested changes. Provide functional/application expertise within the assigned function, including conducting in-depth quality reviews on design and testing. Coordinate cross-functionally with IT and/or business functions to deliver projects. Lead and execute projects and initiatives in full compliance with defined processes and controls. Troubleshoot and diagnose complex business problems and recommend solutions. Keep abreast of the latest tools/applications/techniques in the assigned area. Participate in the decision-making process involving the selection of alternatives. Manage customer relationships with business/IT function leads in support of the assigned function/project. Participate in the execution of day-to-day operations of the department, working with business leads in the assigned area. Develop and create instructor-led, e-learning, and blended learning courses for Sales Systems and Processes. Conduct needs analysis to determine learning objectives, instructional strategies, project scope, timeframes, resource requirements, and potential constraints for projects. Support project teams from inception to completion, produce comprehensive content with attention to detail, support multiple projects, and organize and prioritize work to meet tight deadlines. Clearly communicate project processes with management. Write, edit, review, and oversee the release of communication documents associated with responsible programs. Leverage process improvement/project management concepts and tools to design, develop, document, and assist in implementing standard processes and projects. Ensure proper project scope, project planning, communications, resources, results, and overall project quality for improvement initiatives. Complete regular visits to the field to evaluate process performance, solicit input, and provide two-way communication and feedback. Regularly review metrics to determine and drive changes to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of processes.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Certifications)

Bachelor's or Master's Degree. 1+ years of experience leading cross-functional projects. 7+ years of experience as an Analyst or Consultant within an Operational function. Significant depth of knowledge in the Sales Operations program assigned.

Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands

Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation, and a normal range of temperature and noise levels. Minimal physical effort required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, or carrying objects typically weighing less than 10 lbs. (e.g., papers, books, files, and small parts). Moderate dexterity – regular application of basic skills (calculator, keyboard, hand tools, eye/hand coordination).
