Manager IC-Business Processes (Hybrid Schedule)

Position Description

Primary Purpose:
The primary purpose of the Manager IC - Business Processes role is to work with the businesses to develop, lead and execute strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, productivity, and quality within the organization. This role plays a critical function in analyzing key process data, identifying opportunities for process optimization, implementing process or technological improvements, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The Manager IC - Business Process will communicate with all levels of management, collaborate with cross-functional teams, utilize data-driven methodologies, and leverage best practices to drive positive change, streamline workflows, and contribute to the overall success and growth of the company. We offer a hybrid schedule (Monday-Wednesday in office, Thursday-Friday remotely). We also offer a 9/80 Work Schedule.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Conduct assessments of existing business processes to identify process inefficiencies or opportunities for improvementWork directly with business leaders to identify and implement reporting and key performance indicators (KPIs) designed to measure process performance and effectiveness as well as detect process anomaliesEngage and lead cross-functional project teams charged with implementing improvements to Kinder Morgan applications and their associated business processesCollaborate with a wide variety of people and personalities with tact, courtesy and professionalism across multiple business units, including, but not limited to: other employees, all levels of management, vendors and customersProfessionally articulate and present ideas, proposals, and project results to all levels of managementProvide post-implementation process and technical support of software solutions. Resolve end-user issues and business needsWork very closely with Information Technology personnel to identify and resolve technical issues or concernsUtilize change management tools and techniques designed to facilitate a smooth, successful and permanent transition to a new process or systemManage multiple tasks and multiple projects at once by using effective time management skillsPlay a key role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organizationMaintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets and employees, and the general publicPromote the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and the Company’s EHS Policy StatementOther daily, weekly, and monthly duties, and special projects, as assigned

Position Requirements

Minimum requirements:

Education:

BBA, BS or BA in Business, Computer Science, MIS, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering or other related business or technical discipline

Experience / specific knowledge:

A minimum of 5-7 years experience leading process improvement projects or software implementation projects involving multiple business functional areasProven experience in process analysis and utilization of process improvement methodologiesShould be considered a subject matter expert in multiple business functional areas and capable of resolving complex business issues associated with these functionsDirect experience in developing technical documentation to include (but not limited to): Business process flows, system/software requirements, project plans, project charters, procedure/SOP documents or end user training materialsMust have a sound knowledge of system databases, software design and report developmentMust be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio


Certifications, licenses, registrations:

Valid driver license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel)

Excellent analytical ability and demonstrated proficiency in analyzing and deciphering complex information from multiple sources to draw conclusions and recommend solutions to managementExpress ideas using critical thinking and analytical skills and then manage them to reach a consensusExcellent data analysis and system troubleshooting skillsMust be able to work collaboratively, engage with peers in problem solving discussions and develop a strong cohesive team within work groupsDemonstrated ability to verbally present (in a refined manner) very technical material to all levels of management in both detailed and summarized levels of detailProficiency in refined technical written communication skills is required.Excellent organizational skills are required. Must be able to successfully perform multiple tasks and manage multiple projects with strict and sometimes simultaneous deadlinesMust be able to work within a team, take directions from supervisor(s), adhere to required work schedules, exhibit excellent follow-through, focus attention to details, and follow work rulesAbility to successfully perform the required and expected duties with minimal direct supervisionMust maintain a high degree of professionalismSpeak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills, and listen carefullyMaintain a regular, dependable attendance and high level of job performance

Physical demands:

Office environment with minimal physical demandExtended periods of sitting may be required for extensive computer work

Working conditions:

The regular work environment is typically in an office. However, work may require the candidate to be outside and exposed to extreme heat, cold and inclement weather in a field environment.Approximately 5% travel. Actual travel will vary significantly with ongoing work requirements.Work non-traditional hours, as neededThis position has the opportunity to work a hybrid work schedule with Monday-Wednesday in the office and Thursday-Friday remotely. This position also has the opportunity to work a flexible work schedule with 9-hour workdays Monday-Thursday and either half day Fridays or every other Friday off. NOTE: There may be instances where business need requires the employee to work in the office on a scheduled remote day or scheduled 9/80 Friday.The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.

Preferred education, experience, certifications, skills, and abilities:
Above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position:

3 years of oil and gas industry experienceFinancial Planning and/or Accounting experiencePMP, Six Sigma or Agile TrainingExperience in utilizing various change management tools and techniques to facilitate changeExperienced in implementing and using analytical tools such as Power BI and PalantirWorking knowledge of any of the following applications: Oracle Hyperion Planning, Salesforce, Maximo, Decisions, Galahad Liquid, Galahad Bulk, Palantir Foundry and CMS
