The Cloud Platform group provides mission critical services that enable Datadog to be the best in class observability product. Additionally there are growth opportunities in new markets and a growing need for novel product capabilities. This platform group will maintain resilient services as well as develop new systems to unlock product capabilities across Datadog. Examples of the services are the platform that enables Datadog to collect millions of data points per second from cloud providers such as AWS and GCP and a platform to enable Infrastructure as Code operations for Datadog products.
This Senior Engineering Manager role will manage multiple teams and grow new ones. They will develop leaders within their group to effectively scale themselves and their teams. Working with products to develop roadmaps for their platforms that deliver the most impact and drive the most value for Datadog.

What You’ll Do:
Talent Management: Develop Engineering Managers and ICs across teams into high performers and identify opportunities for growth of engineers and new leaders while fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Strategic Leadership: Drive the vision and strategy for the teams, ensuring alignment with the overall goals and developing impactful roadmaps. Collaborate across product teams at Datadog and identify opportunities for impact. Technical Excellence: Ensure the teams maintain high standards of operational excellence across all systems and services. Innovation and Improvement: Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement across the platforms and unlock new capabilities for Datadog productsWho You Are:
You have a BS/MS/PhD in a Computer Science, Engineering or related scientific field or equivalent professional experience You have managed multiple teams of software engineers and multiple managers for at least 1+ years You have significant experience in backend programming and have architected, built, and operated large systems to solve problems at scale, particularly for enterprise-level customers with complex environments You are skilled in cross-functional collaboration and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment You are a strategic thinker with a track record of translating complex technical problems into actionable plans
